The fact that my first thought upon seeing the away shirt was, "This is better, I guess..." shows just HOW BAD the home shirt looks. All the black... Why?! And, remember, the away shirt will look even worse once a number is crammed between those horizontal stripes. Or Nike will pull a Nike and have designed a shirt with big stripes on the front that can't actually be there in the same form when it comes time to add a number (see: 2014 WC away shirt). BTW, other Nike national team shirts that are leaking have the horrific misaligned/jagged stripes down the side, so the home shirt at least must be real.
Yes it is a shame. I was being sarcastic when I said it was a nice jersey... However lets be honest, the away Jersey is much worse than the Home. The home one would look good with green shorts IMO.
agreed. While i am not a fan of either... the red... sorry.. 'red' is the better of the two.. even if it does have a very casual polo like look with ugly zig zag stripe things on it.
I think if you just treated each like a shirt at the store - no badge, etc. - people would buy the away shirt that actually looks like something we've seen before over the polo shirt with misaligned side stripes (featuring colors that don't complement each other) that make it look like there was a mistake on the assembly line. Symmetry matters. If the away shirt just didn't have the black it'd be fine.
At long last, the return of green shorts. https://www.footyheadlines.com/2019/12/portugal-euro-2020-home-kit.html?m=1
do you have a legitimate source about green shorts. I dont believe it. If that is actually the jersey though it looks pretty good.
Footyheadlines, which had first reported that shorts would be Red has not updated the article saying the Shorts will indeed be Green.
I think the kit would look much better with green shorts tbh than red. it suits the lines on the sleeves if it is green.
yes that is what the website reported...still no images to confirm. we should find out soon as the kits are due to be released in March. I am fairly sure it will be green tho as they reported it, and a contact of mine who runs a football shop told me it was going to be green a long time ago. Hopefully the away kit is not what they have shown recently. the first leak that came out was much better (the teal kit without the stripes).
I can confirm the shorts will indeed be GREEN! Which is awesome. I have a couple people that work for a local sports shop in Lisbon and they already got some pre-stock available and they saw green shorts. The red home kit seems 100% correct. It's a nice kit but it would have been perfect if they traded the black strips for GOLD?! I just don't get Nike... I asked for pictures, I'll see what they say
https://portugalstore.fpf.pt/pt/loja/pt-equipamentos-oficiais Fucking yikes. That away kit is hot cat shit, and the home kit looks like a regular polo. There's absolutely zero reason to have black on it.
Can’t believe Nike went seven consecutive home kits over 14 years with Portugal in all red when everybody wants green shorts and they look amazing. Just keep the green ********ing shorts, Nike! Nobody’s going to confuse Portugal with Bulgaria. The green shorts make up for all the unnecessary black on both kits As usual, the training gear looks great. The red tops the keepers are wearing in training are so nice. Also, the black prematch shirt has a nice Euro 2004 touch in that there are outlines and silhouettes of the FPF badge all over it.
I don't know what they were thinking with that away kit. Maybe it will look decent once i see it with a name an number. Home kit looks alright. I'm happy they brought back the green shorts... only took 15-16 years. Overall, they look average, but my opinion might change when we see them with the full kit vs Croatia
