He is 32 years old. Having him play in a league less competitive than LaLiga and champions league may preserve his body for the World Cup. This could be a good thing for us.

I think we should use Pepe at least until the end of the 2018 WC in Russia, depending on form, obviously. 32 for a defender is still quite young, look at Carvalho for instance.

I like Oliveira, JJ has in my opinion killed his confidence. I rate him and would gladly have him at Benfica especially as Luisão is old and Lindelöf might be sold at the end of the season. Oliveira should move. Semedo I have not watched enough of.

Against teams we are likely to be dominant against, yes, a good line-up. Cancelo I 'heard' wants to leave Valencia.

I think against the likes of Germany, Spain, Argentina etc, this is the best lineup. Having two 6"2 midfielders in Carvalho and Gomes would be great. You got Joao Mario and then you need another creative force who can provide assists to Ronaldo and Silva and I believe Bernardo is probably the best choice. Not to mention two offensive full backs like Raphael and Cancelo hurling in crosses and making forays into the wings.

Realtor Sanches if he starts getting some regular playing time would be great for the midfield alongside joao mario.

This lineup if anything just gives us the chance to see how it works against good sides and let's us know if it's a viable first team at the world cup.

Gelson Martins needs to be a lock on the right as he is unreal

Would also like to se Diogo Jota called up to the guy reminds me of Griezmann.

Andre Silva as our Striker and guys I think we have our future attacking trio

Also would like to see Rafa Lopes of Chaves get a call in some friendlies against teams like Estonia etc

We have so many young talented midfielders why on earth would we play garbage like Josue. You need to rethink your life.

    Your line-up was like this:

Andre Gomes Joao Mario Bernardo Silva

    Carvalho

    Maybe you meant this:

    Joao Mario Bernardo Silva

    Andre Gomes/Carvalho

Do not know how well Gomes is playing at Barça. It could work but for me it is too attack minded, I would replace Gomes with Adrien who is more limited at least potentially but more reliable.

I'm not surprised that despite selling out on both the authentic home and away kits in every size months ago (including all youth and women sizes but stil available in mens XXL) Nike isn't even creating a 3rd kit for Portugal, but did make kits for England, Brazil, USA and France even though they haven't sold out on either their home or away.

Again, great job Nike! Not only did you refuse to make an actual centenary jersey for Portugal which was a great collectible for fans and also a good piece of business. You also now have nothing to sell during the confederations cup #marketinggeniuses

But I will say France's third kit is so appropriate LOL:

We don't need new jersies , these are championship jersies so I am happy to milk it for another couple seasons.

i hope 2018 keeps a similar look , keep the green socks or revert back to the green shorts.

I would like to see them bring back gold/yellow numbers and details to the kit like in the early -mid 00s

I'm not ready to give up the teal green kits. Those are too beautiful.

    Sold out since October.

Nike has only a few home replicas to sell for the Confederations cup. IMO totally missing out on sales in either new kits or a rerun of the Euro kits.

I don't care who they bring. I want to see that Euro 2016 mentality all over again even if this is a glorified exhibition tournament.

We have to keep the haters working overtime.
