Anselmo is almost a necessity for Ponte this off-season. If they miss out on him i fear for the volante position.

Avai fans saying Nino Paraiba was one of the worse LD of the lg... Vitoria fans were saying he was alright and had great speed but was pretty stupid on the pitch in terms of football Iq. Jeez.

Nice, what have you been betting? Any Brazil? Just Europe? You picked a good time to start poking your head around again, the Carioca and the paulistao are gold mines.

I agree with the second assessment. He reminded me of a poor man's Apodi of 5-6 years ago.

Great article, I always thought Rhayner was a smoker. I don't get why any soccer player would use cocaine tho. let's just set aside the obvious reasons not to do it and just look at how much stress is already on their heart as it is with the massive amount of daily running. I'm sure the jokes will be coming from opposing fans because Ponte has a reputation for signing "bad guys". http://globoesporte.globo.com/futeb...ue-ja-usou-e-traficou-drogas-fui-viciado.html

I'm actually a bit concerned this early. Clayson is a right winger, I don't know why he'd be used in that area. I'm really optimistic about clayson but he needs to be in an area where he can use his pace. Eutropio has to make the right decision and bench felipe azevedo. This guy just starts off reputation. I look forward to seeing Elton and joao Vitor at Volante, should be a really good combo.

Alexandro gone again, just ignorant by the club because there is no one behind Wellington paulista , marinho signed with Vitoria, Its not ponte news but I would rather have had him than rhayner, Vitoria upgraded there IMO. Plus considering ponte has already made two deals with cruzeiro this offseason

I actually turned off the game at the 50
Minute mark, the quality was to low. And I agree with the writer mostly but id like to know how he'd replace Biro Biro and rodinei. Gallo deserves a little blame, the only times ponte have looked good are when he's used a right back at meia and defended like crazy expecting Jonas to win everything, it just isn't a good Recipe.

I'd start putting the money on Ponte being relegated. A Biro Biro type or Renato Caja is necessary yet we are getting served William pottiker and Camacho if we are lucky? They can't even get Renato Chaves. I also don't trust Eduardo baptista. The Rene JR signing is alright but there are enough volantes as it is. The only way this team does anything is if Jonas and Elton are paired together at volante game after game. Jonas's crazy streak may force him off the pitch so it's a damn dilemma. I can understand why managers would not play Jonas, it really is a risk/reward type scenario.

Jonas poderia jogar de zagueiro igual o Mascherano do Barça onde aprendeu a jogar.
Lol it's getting desperate in these parts haha

Him and Rodrigo Souza would beast at nautico. I'm pretty sure he's not in the plans but maybe I'm overreacting. I haven't seen Jonas mentioned in reports about training. Than after a training for a while baptista pairs up Elton and this 18 year old matheus against genus. Now I am seeing that Joao vitor and Rene Jr will be the pairing against genus this week. Granted, there is a possibility he's just saving Jonas for Sunday @fig but I highly doubt it. I think baptista is going to go with the 18 year old or rene Jr if he looks good against genus. It seems like Elton has his spot locked down.

Ponte fans really optimistic, talking about Leicester and how Eduardo baptista brings a "new" approach and is willing to use the youth team and how that somehow will translate into wins. I bet after the palmeiras match they join my viewpoint. Yesterday I was thinking damn am I being to harsh on the guy? He was really successful with sport but damn this Jonas thing has me feeling some type of way. I'm someone who can overlook tons of stuff and accept the pros and cons but I can't accept this for some reason. Crazy I know
