    Call-up for Ludovic Obraniak who just received Polish citizenship is probably most interesting news about it, but statisticians may look for an information when - if it happened before at all - two goalkeepers from the same club were called up to Poland's national squad.

    Not bad, except defense. The attacking combo of Kuba, Jelen and Obraniak should be fun to watch...

    Yep, not bad at all. I'm not big on friendlies, but the WC qualifying campaign has stalled a bit, never mind the San Marino match. SO it would be good to have some momentum, going into the September double vs Northern Ireland and Slovenia.

    He should call Rafal Grzelak too from Steaua, he trained a lot and his fitness is good. And also Golanski because now he is regular after Ogararu left to Ajax. Watch his magic phase against Motherwell and also his goal with Ujpest:

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Kd6cbOt22w"]YouTube - Rafal Grzelak (Faza golului 3 Steaua - Motherwell)[/ame] -magic phase

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7Jp4p_k0mQ"]YouTube - Ujpest -STEAUA GoooooL Grzelak[/ame] - his first goal at Steaua

    Anyway, you should change your stupid coach Beenhakker, he knows nothing about football and also using Golanski as left defender. He cant play in that posiition!

    I don't know about you guys but I cannot wait to see Obraniak today.
    Obraniak and Kuba (if healthy) can provide us with some potent attacks on the flank....

    I heard Obraniak is also a French citizen, so will he play for Poland in the qualifiers or France? OK I found it, we need more players like him, who are not ashamed of their polish heritage:)

    Obraniak has made an appearance for the France under-21 squad, however, since it was not a match for points FIFA does not consider him permanently capped. This was later confirmed by FIFA's decision to remove the age limit on nationality switches of players who had only been capped at youth level.[3]
    Due to having Polish roots through his grandfather[4], Ludovic has been the subject of interest from the Poland national football team.[5] He applied for citizenship of the country[6]and has stated that he would be interested in representing Poland, however, his citizenship application was not inspired by footballing reasons but rather a desire to reconnect with his heritage.
    Since his grandfather had never renounced Polish citizenship, according to Polish laws Obraniak's citizenship did not need to be granted by the Polish government but simply verified by the Masovian voivode. Obraniak was confirmed as a Polish citizen on June 5, 2009.[7]
    On 23 July 2009, he was officially called up the Poland team by coach Leo Beenhakker for the squad's friendly against Greece,[8] where Obraniak scored the only two goals in the match making the final score a 2-0 victory for Poland.
