Make it 7 in a row Exeter 0 ARGYLE 2, goals from Carey his 4th and Garita his 1st. Argyle now have a 2 point lead at the top. WE'RE #1
Not today Argyle 1 Hartlepool 1 Argyle played really poor today and only managed a point after a very dubious penalty was awarded in the 84th min Jervis scoring. Argyle still top 2 points ahead of Portsmouth. Next game tuesday away to Leyton Orient.

After losing their first 3 games by shutout (2 in league, 1 in cup) Plymouth Argyle are #1 in the league with a 5 point gap to the 2nd place team, after 7 wins and a draw in their next 8 games. PS the Leyton Orient manager was fired before this game.
It must be rare for a club to have player leave injured, have his replacement leave injured, and get two red cards.
On 22 March 2015, Liverpool's Steven Gerrard was subbed on at halftime against Manchester United and immediately got a red card, but I don't know how many seconds it took.
And the beat goes on Argyle 4 Yeovil 1 goals from Spencer, Jervis, Jervis and Carey. 10 games undefeated, 5 point lead, best +/- in the league.
Chalk up another win Stevenage 1 Argyle 2, the unusual case here is all 3 goals were scored by Sonny Bradley. Argyle maintain their 5 point lead over Doncaster The next game is a biggy home to 4th place Portsmouth next saturday,
boy we are on a roll!!!! Pompey at home.... Plymouth will be buzzing.... will try to get some twitter guys to give us the low down on game day... argh... cept i have to work on sat!!! ugh...
Just back from 2 weeks in Sunny Myrtle Beach, hard to believe Hurricane Matthew went through 2 days after we arrived. Since i went away The luck of the green is continuing against Portsmouth a last minute goal gave Argyle a 2-2 draw and and last saturday away to Newport, Argyle were gifted 2 penalty goals and Newport's goalie being sent off and Argyle cruised to a 3-1 win. The lead is now 4 points over 2nd place Carlisle, 6 points over 3rd place Doncaster, and 12 points over 7th place Accrington. Argyle's next home game is saturday home to 15th place Colchester, The next game after is Nov 5 against Mansfield away in ther 1st round of the FA Cup, Argyle have 4 players injured, Brunt and Sawyer long time not expected back until New Year and Threlkeld and Garita out for probably 2 more weeks. Yellow card accumulation is starting to mount up with one player on 4 and 3 on 3, so suspensions may soon come up, luckily Argyle still have a good bench with Osbourne who was suppose to be their top pre-season signing who has been injured since training camp, but is now back in top shape after playing a few games with the reserves, also Ijaha who was signed from a non-league team who has played a couple of games and was named MOM in one of them is now also available, both of these are midfielders. So Argyle are in pretty good shape.
The luck of the green struck again. Argyle 2 Colchester 1. Argyle's first goal was scored by Tanner, this was after a Colchester player went down injured and the Colchester players all stopped playing thinking the ref would stop play but he did'nt and waved play on. Colchester scored to tie it up with a direct free kick. The winning goal was scored by Donaldson, this came after a nearly 15 minute stoppage due to a serious injury to the referee, he turned on a play and a Argyle player ran right into him, knocking him out, he was stretchered off the field. One of the linesman took over as the referee and his first job was to get Colchester to restart by kicking the ball back to the goalie, as the goalie cannot pick the ball up on a passback so he has to kick it which he did right into the onrushing Donaldson and it rebounded past the goalie into the net. Coolchester had a few chances to equalise but Argyle hung on for the victory. Still 4 points ahead of 2nd place Carlisle and 13 points ahead of 7th place Crewe
sounds like a shakey goal? (Donaldson) was it a sporting goal? or should they have just let the ball go back to the keeper? anyway... 3 points for us... i will take it!!!
Actually i have now watched the video, and in fact i was wrong, as the ref was being injured the ball went out of play so a throwin was being awarded to Colchester, when play resumed it started with the throwin, which went back to a defender who in turn passed it back to the goalie, but not with much power so the goalie had to rush to get to the ball and Donaldson also it was going to be short so he rushed to it which ended with the goalie kicking it into the on rushing Donalson and it ended up rebounding off him and into the goal, so a totally legit goal.

Another win Mansfield 1 Argyle 2, Slew and Fox scoring. This was not a league game this was the 1st round of the FA Cup. Next game is the Checkatrade Trophy where we play Swansea U21, this is the controversial cup tournament where the FA forced the lower teams to accept a number of premier and championship U21 teams into the competition. Argyle are in a group with Wimbledon, Newport and Swansea, this will be the 3rd game after Argyle beat Newport but lost to Wimbledon, a draw or win will guarantee Argyle moving on to the next round as the top 2 teams in each group move on. Argyle return to league action next saturday when Argyle are away to Crewe. Crewe are 7th in the league.

Argyle drawn at home to Alfreton Town or Newport in the second round of the EmiratesCup (FA Cup). Tie to be played on the weekend of Dec 3/4 Alfreton are currently 16th in the Vanarama National League North. Newport are bottom of Sky Bet League Two. On paper should be a easy game for Argyle. Argyle have already played and beaten Newport twice this season 4-1 at home in the Checkatrade Trophy and 2-1 away in the league. Alfreton is in a league 2 levels below Argyle.
Looks good does'nt it 1 Plymouth 16 14 38 2 Carlisle 16 10 31 3 Doncaster 16 10 30 4 Portsmouth 16 11 27 5 Luton 16 10 27 6 Crewe 16 0 22 7 Grimsby 16 0 22 Crewe 1 Argyle 2 Tanner and Carey scoring. 7th consecutive away win.
they seem to be playing really well... any word on FA Cup tie? a guy on twitter i follow has some sort of affiliation with Alfreton Town...
Wikipedia says Plymouth Argyle will host Newport County, who is also in League Two, in the Second Round on December 3 at 3:00 P.M. local/10:00 A.M. USA Eastern. After both games were 1:1 after regulation, Newport County scored 3 goals in extra time yesterday to beat Alfreton Town, so Plymouth Argyle would have faced Alfreton Town if they advanced.
