Not a bad start to the season. We have fairly kind fixtures for the first few weeks so i can see us being right up there for a while.

    Get well soon Ollie.

Ollie back to work today and in good humour. http://www.pafc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10364~1096325,00.html

We also signed Nadjim Abdou (jimmy) to a one year contract, he also played tonight in a 1-1 draw for the reserves which also included skipper Wottsie back for his first game in 9 months.

Also Buszacky and Halmosi have flown off to play in a friendly for Hungary against Italy on wednesday.

Halmosi and Buszacky both played in Hungary's 3-1 win over Italy last night.
Although not much, Halmosi came on in the 82nd minute and Buszacky in the 90th min. A long way to go for about 10 minutes worth of playing time for the 2players.

Also Gosling with the England U17 team played the whole game in England's win over NZ and about 30 mins in the 1-1 draw with Korea. Hopefully he will play in tomorrow's game with Brazil.

Yes Gosling did play the whole game in the 2-1 win over Brazil, also there are rumours that either Spurs or Everton might offer 2.5m pounds for Gosling.
It was a good fight back from being 3-0 down but we should'nt have been in that position in the first place.

well, hopefully Ollie will sort the team out before the next game.. we seem to be giving up early goals... argh...

Gosling to everton or spurs??? huh? do you let him go and take the money, or hope he can improve our team this season.... 2.5 mill would buy some good players, but as good as the potential of young gosling?

Argyle won tonight 2-0 against Doncaster in Carling cup scoring were Sylvan Ebanks Balke and Luke Summerfield, Argyle advance to 3rd round. Next game is against Leicester on saturday, which might be in jeopardy because of tonight's incident in Leicester's game where Leicester player Clive Clarke collapsed at ht, and their game was abandoned against Notts Forest. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/league_cup/6963502.stm

This after the incident in Spain in which Antonia Puerta died after collapsing in a game on saturday. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/6964586.stm

Hey, I'm a lurker. Hopefully the break will be good to help the team refocus and get more league wins (and continue in the Carling Cup). The Cardiff game right after the break will be huge (I believe it will be on TV too, being a late Saturday afternoon start). And, of course, it's Cardiff, an obvious rival, so it would be a great opportunity to start the next stretch of games on a positive note and hopefully jump start the season from the treading-water phase it's in right now.

Green... thanks for posting.... yeah, a good stretch of wins would be nice... continuing in the Carling cup would be nice... BUT... it doesnt have as much prestige as the FA cup.. but a cup run is a cup run...

hopefully SEB can start scoring more on a regular basis....

ALSO... no Paul Wotton in 1st team matches... is he fit? or is he having a hard time breaking into the starting 11 (or the bench for that matter)

:::all points bulletin for Phil Stagg:::: have you left us?... please report to the home dressing room at Home Park, you can pick up your jersey and gear... we need ya son!!

JJ we are on a 2 week break, at moment because of International games. Buszacky and Halmosi are off playing for Hungry, both dressed for todays game against Bosnia, only Halmosi got on and that was only for a few minutes. I believe they have another game midweek, before heading back to Argyle.

Wotton had a set back, after playing a couple of games for reserves, e wont be back for first team duty probably for at least a month. Unfortunately the reserves do not have any games scheduled so i believe Ollie has scheduled a few closed door friendlies, one was against Exeter last week, Argyle won 3-0, this also gives Ollie to check out a few trialists. Players were given weekend off from training.

well... looks like we let one get away..... up a goal, at home... with 2 min to go... that shouldve been a sure 3 points... frustrating... Ollie cannot be thrilled at not buttoning this game up and giving away the tieing goal in the dying minutes of the game...

    color me frustrated....

    Argyle 2 Cardiff City 2

It was worse than that we were up 2-0 with 19 mins to go, but unfortunately we sat back and they came n waves but both goals were really from defensive lapses.
It shows how close the league is as at the 88th min. we were 5th in the league a minute later we were 18th.

oh that makes it even worse... with 19 min to go too.... ugh... giving up 2 goals in that time frame, man, Ollie probably has steam coming out of his ears...

and that has to make the home crowd mad as hell too....

oh well, shake it off, and come back strong for the next game...

I had to go to work with Plymouth up 2-0 in the 70th minute and, when I got there, I turned it on to listen to the last few minutes of the big win ...

Too bad - a big win lost. Well, all that can be done now is to move on to QPR (at least there isn't much time to mull over this game before playing again).

Green... youre right... no time to waste... hopefully take 3 from QPR.....

i hope these 2 points lost dont come back to haunt us at the end of the season...

also... big changes afoot for the team.. who is staying, who is going, who is being brought in?

any guesses??? im saying 2-1 Argyle, with Fallon getting the game winner.
