Yeah, I think she was in some excruciating pain during her stint on this show. And I've had shoulder issues myself and that is no joke. With the uncertainty surrounding the league, plus the injury, one has to wonder if Hope will even bother trying to play this season.

There is no uncertainty, there will be only five teams and with SB signing LeBlanc, I do not see another team that would feel she is an upgrade except Atlanta, but she won't be making much there. LeBlanc went the whole season unsigned until Hope did not show up after the WWC... only playing in one game

It's okay if you don't like Hope Solo but no need sing the same negative song about her over and over again.

DWTS is just a silly game show that probably has the winners already mapped out due to the extreme favoritism by the judges. She tried it out and it was something to get to fourth place despite the judges writing her off for weeks. Her outspoken behavior and strong athletic body wasn't acceptable to them. She's not an entertainer and she's not going to smile at the camera and pretend. She doesn't have to apologize to anybody on ABC or anybody here on these message boards.

If it hasn't already been news already to you, her shoulder is never going to be painless ever again. The shots she needs to play in competitions she'll probably need them for the entire length of her sports career.

As for the WPS, that league is a joke right now and I can't ever take it seriously. I'll continue to support it and watch the once a week ugly pixelated webcasts and figure out what team to root for. Ever since they took alway the Los Angeles team from me I've been heartbroken and distanced from WPS. I'm happy they still exist but in some ways they might as well be non-existant since you have to live on the east coast to see them live. If Hope finds a team then fine, if she doesn't find a team she'll just stick with the US roster.

WHat negative things did I say other than the current facts...

A friend of mine had his shoulder rebuilt in the same type of surgery and he is back to lifting and working out with no pain (Granted he is not going to an extreme and his rehabb was a long long time) but he is a workout junkie and likes to lift alot. ..

I disagree with that it being okay the way she acted and that we shouldn't critique it. First off, she was pretty rude on the show. I agree DWTS is a silly show and it's not the Olympics or WC so there's no need to get crazy about her behavior but still there's no need for her to say things like "ef the judges and I don't even want to look at them." At the same time she doesn't have to pretend but acting polite is not the same as pretending. I agree they did not accept her athleticism and got on her because of that and I think she did better than they gave her credit for. And I agree that she did a great job making it has far as she did. I was just disappointed by how she acted. Listening to her after the WC loss she seemed like a gracious loser but the Hope I saw on DWTS was reminiscent of the 2007 Hope.

Regarding her shoulder I would absolutely LOVE for you to site some sort of medical opinion or research regarding your statement. I'm a physical therapist and what you said is complete news to me. So please bring site your source on that.

And, yes, the league is a joke. For Hope's sake, if she chooses not to play in the league then after the Olympics I would like to see her go abroad.

Overall, I think Solo did fantastic. I never thought she would be in the final 4. There was no way she was going to beat Ricki Lake or the Army vet. Kardashian has always been overall a better dancer in this competition than her. I think she went as far as she could go in this tournament. She did great.

I personally think Hope is the finest soccer player to have played for US WNT. But the DWTS adventure was damaging to her image. Her comments after 2007 WC were courageous and needed to be said. Her comments on DWTS were stupid.

She was in it for herself, even though she said she was doing it to promote US Women's soccer. In the end, she lost the pull of her fans and ended up getting eliminated.

Don't you think at this point, she should take a break for a couple of months? I know that such a thing may not be possible but don't the shots, coupled with the physical activity wear on the tendons in the shoulder? I realized what she meant about saving the shots for the Olympics. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the shots are supposed to be spaced out to avoid further damage to the tendons.

I thought it was fine. I was actually a bit surprised at how integrated Hope is into the wider sports community. Lots of players (NBA, football, softball, etc.) tweeted support for her and there's a large community of fans who support her comments and her personally. I, for one, laughed at her telling off the judges.

Yes I would agree with you. Rest and rehab would probably be her best option. In my opinion (and no I don't know what kind of injection she was getting for sure) but most of these cortisone injections are used to help control pain and inflammation but they don't really treat the actual cause of the pain. Her best bet would be to spend a lot of quality time in rehab. It sounded like she did do a lot of rehab following the WC and that's why she didn't compete in the remainder of the WPS season but I hope she continues to rehab. Personally, I would save the injections for the Olympics.

Hi all, I created a petition to show our continued support for Hope Solo (and in extension, Maksim Chmerkovskiy). I just felt it's time to do something about it. Sometimes you just have to do it.

Ever since Hope participated on DWTS, she received so much flack. We can all agree that she and Maks were not always being treated fairly on this show.

if you are a fan of any team this season yet not a fan of all the drama or the biased judging, then here's a petition. If you are a fan of Hope Solo and you were appalled by how the DWTS treated her, then please sign the petition. Please show your support for Hope Solo. This petition addresses many issues that all of us have talked about throughout the season: editing, dubious judging, etc.

I hope I can get USWNT fans, DWTS viewers, and MakSolo fans to sign the petition. I plan to gather as many signature as possible and forward this to Hope’s PR team and ABC/DWTS. Please spread the word and I’d like to thank you all in advance.

Show Your Continued Support for Hope Solo!: http://t.co/loNswXx4 #TeamHope
