Are the MLS playoffs still going on? 16 days between games really killed any excitement there was for the playoffs. I have to keep reminding myself the MLS season is still going.

MLS struggles with this playoff scheduling. The international break that got added into November maybe 4/5 years ago didn’t help and that isn’t their fault. I think where they fail is the rushed nature of going from 12 teams to 4 teams in about 10 Days time after having a 9 month season you rush to eliminate 2/3rds of your playoff qualifiers!! Stuck with a bad Tv schedule because you’ve contracted with 2 networks that see you as football counterprogramming only.

    at 8:00 pm

    67F
    80% humidity

They have taken the chance of thunderstorms out and reduced the chance of rain during the game. It should just be overcast during the game.

Serious question - What time is kickoff? I’m confused as to if they just moved up the broadcast time but kickoff is closer to 9:00 because of the East game starting at 7:00. They’ve done this a lot before - a game time listed significantly earlier than kickoff

The original game day announcement said that the pre-game festivities would start at 8:30 pm when the game was at 9:00 pm. The Dynamo now say this:
    • 6:30 p.m. - Taste of EaDo opens through the 76® gate // Bud Light Beer Garden opens
    • 6:45 p.m. - All gates open to Members
    • 7:00 p.m. - Gates open to the general public
    • 8:30 p.m. - Kickoff
Is that actual kickoff? I'm skeptical but it sure sounds like kickoff will be closer to 8:30 than 9:00.

This has 8:30 as “pregame festivities” which could be 5 minutes or 25 minutes. The broadcast window is 8:30 to 11:00 so I am guessing the kick isn’t 8:30 but not 9:00

I also noticed some disclaimer in the top part about a new security procedure but maybe that’s old

Just FYI, prices havent dropped much and there is a pretty low inventory stubhub and flash seats. Looks like there is real demand for this game. Hope they front office can get all their promo photos for the next few years.

Just got an email from the team warning me that from 840-850 the view from my lower bowl seats will be blocked by a Supporters Group TIFO. So kickoff is probably 852p as per Fox Sports custom. Definitely not until the TIFO is down.

    - Way to go EB, TA, BWF!

I'm excited to see this TIFO!

I'm fking thrilled to be back watching a Conference Final with the Glorious Houston Dynamo on the field where they belong.

I will say this, with what prices are/were I am surprised by the unusually low amount of seats on stubhub and flash. Typically you’d get some more middling fans selling as prices move up - or at least this pattern tends to follow for Astros and other teams.

All indications would be for a pretty full house. Which may strain some things at the stadium. As bad as the game time is, no school tomorrow and a lot of folks off work this week helps.
