I was wondering if anyones elses players have any nicknames already. One of my players, Maurice MacCabe, was given a nickname last week in the reports for the New Kids on the Block fed. He was given the nickname Space Cowboy, no meaning or anything behind it, the guy that does my reports just started calling him that and it has stuck. I was wondering if anyone else has a nickname for any of their players, one that's been given to the player, or one that they call the player themselves.
Yeah, when I first started (a whole 4 weeks ago) I was blessed to have "Golden Boy" Glen Peterson on my squad. Why "Golden Boy" you ask? Well at 18 his TSI was about 3000, that and his sale fetched me 800k.
My player Andoni Sueiro has the nickname Gatillazzo. I can't spell it right now, hell I'm German. Anyway his original team and his friends nicknamed him this, which they shared with me when I bought him. My father-in-law translated it as gunslinger. Turns out what they meant was trigger happy. As in going off too quickly.
Steve Miller Band... "... some people call me a space cowboy, some people call me the gangster of love, some people call me Maurice..."
I've got this American player, Hassan Conley is his name, who is going to be my new coach. I nicknamed him slowpoke, because it's taking him ten months already to reach solid experience (still not there)...

Toon (Newcastle Utd.) legend Jackie Milburn was nicknamed "JET" partly because of his initial quickness and blazing pace; but also because his actual full name was John Edward Thompson Milburn...
