What foozer said: It probably wouldn't hurt MLS Rumors to actually report the truth once in a while instead of the made-up bullshit they tend to thrive upon. Why is this even "under consideration?" Unless if US Soccer is trying to work us for all they've got, just to make some headlines, there should be no reason why they're even looking at other sites. Tell RSL there's 6 games. Columbus gets Mexico. The rest can go to New England, DC, RSL, Seattle (maybe a double-header with MLS or at least on the same weekend?), and a site TBD.
I understand this, and it has validity. But at some point, you'd think, the Deportes guy would call up the espn soccernet guy and share. They're working for the same team not like he/she'd be giving up their story.
Enough bull. It's official and it's ON! Get your season tickets now, boys and girls. While the market won't be as brisk as it was four years ago (summer vs winter, midweek vs Labor Day weekend) but its still going to be a hot ticket. Give my apologies to Turbina, but for this night, the phrase on the banner "If you support the other team, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME!" applies to some of our drum beating buds....
Actually Most of them are Guatemalan from what i heard, so I don't know who they'll be supporting. and "If you support the other team, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME!" I love that sign, we need a bigger banner of that during MLS. Now, "Nordecke Americana" is the top priority in my mind. Anyone want to make this? Unfortunately I can't as my apartment is to small and I lack the resources.
Can't, don't want to be like "Barra Brava" per the guys behind the scenes on the main page. Don't want to disappoint all those important out of towners.
I gave a perfectly good example of La Norte doing a red white and blue banner with their name on it. I'm just saying we don't want to put up giant black and yellow banners and wave around a 10'x10' flag with our group's name and colors on it like barra brava.
One of their banners has a DC logo in the middle that they've been known to cover up with a US flag. I've also seen a "La Norte *heart* US" banner on occasion. The colors for this game are red, white, and blue.
red, white, and blue yeah? thats sounds like a good idea. and CF, i would say this is a good example of a way to be a Crew fan showing that Columbs is supporting the USA in this one. i was thinking we need some sort of REALLY big ass "Fort Lamar Hunt" banner. then i thought, wait, does Sams Army or someone have this already? i can't remember. if not, some needs to invent it. Sam's Army Columbus Brigade Fort Lamar Hunt ... or something like that
Oh, okay I thought this was an example of a bad idea. I was skimming on that post. Cool, I think it's a good idea. We can make something like that.
I personally don`t see anything wrong with different supporters groups display banners with name and/or colors of the group, as long the names of teams are not on the banners. So The Nordecke, BB, Texan Army,Loyalists... That will just show how many different supporters groups came to support US Same is with having banners with city names, like you guys have COLUMBUS Cheers
well, whatever you do, make it look good. I'm trying to get a media pass for that game too and maybe weave some magic for the USSF and the USA fans. This should be a rockin game. Watching some videos though I didn't hear any chants. Anyone thought about chants???
MEXICO = OVERRATED Also this idea will be easy to make, to say USA Some local company in Columbus might help with this , like some PUB or microbrewery..or I should just go to Beaverton and ask NIKE to make us signs.
