We're finally past the brutal opening schedule. Just 1 point from the first 5 matches. Thank Kenedy for not getting all three points vs Cardiff. That penalty run up still haunts me. Now that we're finally not facing a top-six club, we'll be desperate to change our luck. Shelvey should be back for this one, so that may be the luck we've been needing.

I'm not any more negative now than when it became clear we wouldn't be building the foundation for something better in Newcastle. The road leads to mid-table at best. Having survived the first year back in the PL, even a relegation fight wouldn't be entertaining anymore. We should have signed a permanent striker at the very least. Of course I hope Rondon is productive, but I can't get fully behind a loanee. Let's just enjoy Rafa's last season, and hope for some good moments along the way.
