The fit is very tight in both. The upper is very soft and flexible in 16.1. The soleplate is much more flexible in the 16.1, but they are not FG ag
Picked myself up some boots that reminds me of my favorite World Cup (to date) and of course the world's finest central midfielder. Got them brand new for more than $100 off msrp. Planning to change the laces though! The 11pro 2's in the Samba Pack colorway: What color laces should I go with? White to match the Three Stripes or purple to match the upper?
I blame adidas more than anyone, they are the ones who underrate their Heritage boots, they don't promote them, they don't focus on them. Look at Nike how they treat the Tiempo, it's a jewel in their eyes, they keep innovating it and giving it to a big range of their top players.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Never understood that. The adipure range had pro player support and some marketing behind it but the 11pro and now the Copa 17.1 has none. Hopefully that changes a bit and they put some more money into innovation and marketing, especially now that the other adidas lines aren't offering a k-leather option anymore
Agreed. And you're right nike always heavily advertises the tiempo whenever a new model is launched. Shame nike can't be bothered to improve the quality though.
Update: absolutely in love with these. Put in some Mizuno-brand laces as well, and they work so well I don't even have to use the runner's loop lace hole. I love how tough the calf leather feels, I can play on AG more often without having to worry about the integrity of the leather. What i'd give for adidas to bring back the 11pro silo.
Figured I'd take some pictures of the current rotation and boots I have on hand as I clean up my place. All together. Current rotation with Hypervenom and Brasil being most used. Recently it's been all Brasil as they broke in so nicely. Brasil close-up/playing around with portait mode The "heritage" boots on hand. Unfortunately Mizuno and Legend (and the front had to be repaired a bit, have to clean it up still) are too small.
I have the indoors, and they were great for the short time I used them, very comfortable. The MagistaX is turf, and they are pretty nice, though.
I have been wearing my white ones lightly to coach and strike a few balls to the best of my ability being just a few months out of my latest knee surgery...this model Brasil (from a fit stand point that ran from when it was the Zico until the mass change over in 2003ish) is the best boot that was ever made IMO. This is highly subjective as what fits me, won't fit everyone, but there has never been a boot that was more "made for my foot" than this w/minimal break in time, even the MiJ Morelia which is probably tied w/the Copa for the second best boot ever, IMO. I am planning on getting another white and then two or three of each in the black options so I have these the rest of my life as they seem like they won't be available for much longer. I am hoping the MatchWinner RB models have the same exact fit and it is mostly just decorative differences between them.
You can always get a good deal on Puma'a I sometimes think that are the forgotten boot which is a shame. appleCORR
