I'm going to re-answer this question. I'm just having a breather from 5 a side and I think I would have to go a full size down to get proper lock down in these boots. I'm wearing a 7 but if I got another pair I think I'd go for a 6 and just suffer them until the stretch out period was over. I think even the heel counter has given way a little. I have been wearing Nike athletic socks until today where I have a pair of proper football socks on that don't really have padding on the bottom and aren't as thick and I can really feel my foot slipping everywhere- they are macron socks and I know the quality isn't as good as other brands but either way I can feel that the elasticated upper has stretched it's probably taken 4 wears of a couple of hours. So for me I'd got a full size down as I think that would give you the desired lock down you need in a boot like this. Oh but I've thing I love about them is I haven't had to clean them since I've had them and I've worn them in really bad rain on turf and on dry turf and nothing seems to mark them. appleCORR
Do take note as well that Apple's got the older version of the upper. The newer one seems to fit pretty different and alot better. I went true to size with the blackout pair but i suspect i could go down half a size, for what its worth
Trainer size I'm a 6.5 - 7 but like I said the socks I was wearing were very thin. Macron don't really do great socks! They've been fine in the thicker white ankle socks, and I'm sure they will be fine in my other thicker socks. I could just felt a LOT of sliding around. Especially on my standing foot. I did look at the newer ones and thy do look like they hold their shape better due to the texture (a bit more wetsuit like). These ones have broken in really fast. They always go back into shape but as soon as I put them on the upper sort of goes out of shape again. I only really wanted the red/black colourway to be honest (although I do admit I had to resist the chrome/lime!) but these were such an iconic colour in a boot that I had always wanted to give a whirl. But like I said if Adidas do surprise me and come out with an amazing colourway in the future I might be tempted. But for now I'm happy with what I've got and the price I got them for. But I'd certainly consider my sizing options because a 7 at the moment is about as big as I can go (without my thicker socks!) appleCORR
Figured I'd share my current collection. The HV2 and the Vapor TF haven't been worn yet. I'm coming back from knee surgery and I just got the green light to start kicking so I'm hoping to test them out this weekend.
Those Lasers! I used to love pinging the ball about in those but never wore them very often as the upper was a bit thick for freestyle. appleCORR
I know exactly what you're saying. The touch wasn't great and they are too thick for players that like to dribble. But I remember catching a couple volleys in those sweeter than I ever have in any other boot to date.
I tried the first gen PureControl and found the same issue. Too sloppy for me, maybe the following generations will have better lock down cages.
The thing is I don't really have narrow feet. I think that's why I felt the heel counter at first & thought they'd be a blister machine. I think I'll try a couple of brands of socks before I make my final judgement. But as I said I think the elastic part has just over stretched (by the way does that have a name?) I'll have to take a picture of them on my feet and you can see what I mean, part of it creases in some places. It does look like something Adidas might have addressed though - we will have to wait and see. But as I said they need to release a pretty impressive colourway for me to pick up another pair. appleCORR
I honestly don't think the price point difference between the MIJ and the Indonesian Mizunos is justified personally. I wear the Neo which isn't a full leather boot in either version so that may be part of it. I've also found that the MIJ runs slightly smaller and narrower.
That depends on how much you pay for them I got a good deal on Rakuten for my MiJ when exchange rates were working in my favour. The Yen has become stronger and the pound has become weaker since then so they would cost me alot more now! But with regards to the differences, I've got Indonesian and MiJ Morelias and they are very different: 1) The leather is different 2) The shape of the the toebox is different (narrower and lower in the Indonesians) 3) The heal is a different shape and made of a different material. 4) The shape of the midfoot is different (hugs and molds to your foot better on the MiJ) 5) The tongue is a different shape and made of a different material. 6) Mij took 2 minutes to "break in", The Indonesian ones took over 5 hours, mainly because the toe box is too narrow for me. 7) Striking the ball feels different There are probably other differences I'm missing! The Indonesian Morelias are solid boots that I'm very pleased to own and they do the job for me better than most of the other boots on the market... but the MiJ are pure class. Jordan.
True too size, I went 28cm and 28cm it is. Fits me spot on. I always order looking at the length (or JP size which is basicaly length in cm), not the actual EU or US size. They are super comfy and the k-leather feels really nice. I got them for 6750 YEN (less than 60$) + delivery. It seems that size 28cm which is super average where I live is not that ordinary in Japan, actually it is the biggest available for this boot, so it got discounted to like half of regular price
Picked up these last week, brought them back to life with a good cleaning and a re-polish. If not mistaken these are the Predator Manic, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Adidas adiPure 1... I liked 2 models in the silo... the 1, and the 4 SL... that I'm still looking for....
Awesome Adipure 1. I think all Adidas attempts at heritage/modern-classic since haven't lived up to that one.
