I take issue with excessive use of the word "sub" ... What ********ing city are we recording this thing in?
I've lived out here in Lancaster County too long I guess. You think sub is weird, try getting a normal cheesesteak out here( possible but you better be specific )
Harrisburg people running this podcast! Thanks for listening. I came to Philly my freshman year of Temple 4 years ago. Went to a pizza shop, ordered a Sub and they asked what the F*** is that.
During my college days, went up to Scranton to visit my girlfriend (now wife, funny how that works). Ordered a "Philly cheesesteak" at this diner one night ... open face Wonder bread with Steak-umm, the barely-melted cheese still had imprinted lines from the plastic wrapper.
The Philly Soccer Pod's weekly show is available on iTunes and Stitcher Radio (link below). New show every Tuesday. Usually about 15 minutes long. Union-focused with a brief weekly MLS fantasy segment. Also, a good follow on Twitter @phillysoccerpod. http://tinyurl.com/jpmtkeq
Kudos, I liked. I especially enjoyed the biblical pronunciation of Pontius' name. With all these good podcasts, I'm going to have to figure out a way to make my commute longer
Spoiler alert but @Kevin_Kinkead ended the pod by declaring he'd quit writing about the Union forever if his playoff guarantee is wrong.— Dave Zeitlin (@DaveZeitlin) October 6, 2016
There is a new "The Shady Side" podcast up. You can really hear the Union fan-angst I think we are all feeling (except KK who has us as a lock for the playoffs) as we head into the final two games. Good work guys!
Agree, I enjoy the The Shady Side. The guys are way too self effacing, its not terrible at all like they think. It's perfect for what it is- fans talking about the Union.
Listened to this one post-Orlando. I'm admittedly not a big believer in anti-social media generally. No fecesbook, no twatter, no instant grams here. I worry about the damage a footprint that size and lasting can do unnecessarily, so I choose not to partake. Other than that action, and recommending Edu return (willing to chalk that one off to a simple case of over exuberance) I want to sincerely compliment that family on their respective positions. You have reaffirmed my faith in humanity. When generations can agree, there's hope for soccer in that town yet. Everything else is spot on, you folks say it a great deal mellower than I ever could.
Hey everyone. Im talking to my co-host about the possibility of doing a live episode after the RedBull game on Sunday. Would anyone be interested in stopping by if we do it in the Club or outside the stadium?
Kudos to @TonyClarkDOOP for keeping his cool after the Gaddis can stay and Fabinho needs to go comment, and just amazing composure after the McCarthy should be starting in MLS talk. You sir are a gracious host.
Gaddis was the last guy on the field after the game last night chatting with fans and signing autographs. It's pretty amazing that in a sport like soccer with so many injuries and general "knocks" that both Rosenberry and Fabinho stayed healthy for the entire season.
Send me a PM and I can help with that. We do ask you to leave a note in your signature for a couple of weeks so folks can transition to the new name.
