Last year Charlie Davies fetched a top 3 overall pick (currently). If that's the going rate for stiffs, well,Tribbett is the stiffiest.
It's the tweets about the NWSL streaming ratings that get me. And the raging passion about the league that shows up in his timeline from the five other fans. I'm not sure I'd be that excited if I had relatives playing in the league. Having said that, if the U had a NWSL affiliation I'd probably go. Used to take the kids to Charge games ages ago.
I'd go when my daughter gets older, sure...I hope a team comes eventually, but I'm not going to have much personal interest and I'm not losing much sleep over it... I guess in 2017 that makes me sexist? I also find it sort of hilarious that NWSL's tv deal is with Lifetime... it just seems so stereotypical... that's probably sexist too, right?
Planning a trip to Acadia National Park later this summer and looking at kayak tours and the video for National Park Sea Kayak Tours has a shot of a kid in a Union shirt putting on his life jacket!? Union fans everywhere. 17 sec mark
875083622390345728 is not a valid tweet id Really, they make CJ do a promo sponsored by a beer company where everyone else is drinking at the end? Couldn't find anybody else over 21?
My point was it's tone deaf for a guy who was suspended for DUI and forced to go through MLS substance abuse counseling to do beer sponsored club ads. You throw he wasn't convicted as if that means anything. But hang your hat on whatever you want.
Uh, the conviction means everything. It's the public record of all the events. You're throwing out the fact that you read a newspaper report over two years ago about CJ getting a DUI as evidence that he should - what, never have a good time ever in his life again just in case someone points out that it's tone deaf? This reminds me of the shit Charlie Davies gets for riding in the wrong car. It's really, really easy to collect the appropriate evidence for a DUI and the police failed to do so in a manner that conclusively proved anything about that night. Let it go.
I'm not talking about CJ. I'm talking about his employer, MLS suspended him for violating their (probably murky) substance abuse policies or good conduct policies and then in the same vein when paid by a beer company, use that individual to help sell beer. So no, it doesn't matter if he was criminally convicted, because MLS "convicted" him and passed sentence. MLS couldn't be more tone deaf if they tried. I'm really not hating on CJ for anything other than his suspect touch. Sorry if you missed that point.

Yeah, that's a fair point. Pretty hypocritical. Maybe they're paying CJ back for having suspended him a little too early last time.
Am I asking too much for this team to just play effin' soccer, and stop with all this other crap?!?!?
Well that's infinitely better than finding out they were hiring a full-time cleat artist to go with the tattoo artist.
Antoine Hoppenot got a shoutout from Bobby Warshaw on Monday's Extra Time Radio for being underrated in his time, and he said that every MLS team needs an Antoine Hoppenot. All I have to say is: LOL ROFLCOPTER
