The upset of the week is Machine Sazi 3-0 Sepahan in Esfahan. Sep got destroyed. The new Uzbek player in Machine Sazi is a good footballer.

Esteghlal Khuzestan is on the brink of bankruptcy! Their management and players have not been paid for 7 months. Their manager said they might not participated in ACL. They don't have even enough money to play in PGPL.:thumbsdown: (They are in debt to travel agency, hotel, sport shops, ...) It is too much for a team that become PGPL champion last season.

SS Tehran won Tehran derby 3-2 against Persepolis today. Not a clean match but still good to watch. Persepolis didn't have a LB or a DM, scored first but conceded 2 goals from same spot in left side of our defense (we were using our AMF as our LB and our RB was playing as DM which failed miserably). This was an encounter of all attacking style of Persepolis against park the bus and rely on counterattack style of SS Tehran. SS Tehran managed to control the match with ultra defensive approach, many fouls, and fast counter attacks which worked well for them. Persepolis high line defense failed and the forwards turned very sloppy. Our goals were scored by our CB and CMF.

Everything was ok except last minute SS goal keeper's behavior insulting his opponent players and hitting Persepolis player after he scored goal. He was sent off for his misbehavior but changed the atmosphere from a healthy competition to a bitter end.

    Game stats:

    SS Tehran vs Persepolis Tehran

    Passes: 343 - 647
    Passing accuracy: 53% - 73%
    Shots (on target): 5 (3) - 13 (6)
    Fouls: 25 - 13
    Goal scoring opportunities: 4 - 8
    Ball possession: 40% - 60%

Zob Ahan has been poor last 3 games however among these games they faced 2 of the most in form teams in Tractor and Esteghlal to be fair. And they are still in a good position in the table (4th) for the time being which is quite fine for their stature, that's around where Zob Ahan would like to finish

Unfortunately it looks like they won't be able to get the ACL spot for next year

Zob was piss poor against Tractor and completely clueless versus SS Tehran. After Golmo's departure Zob is experiencing tough situation. Their club manager is stupid. They need to get rid of Azari. He forced Golmo to resign. I can not see that strong defense in Zob any more. They were very solid in past 2 or 3 years in PGPL and Hazfi.

Zandi, what do you know about current situation?

Persepolis won the match vs Naft Tehran 2-0.:)

Tractor was satisfied with a goalless draw with Saipa.

SS Tehran couldn't even win the match vs a relegating team as FC Mashhad (Siahjamegan) 1-1.

This channel usually shows the major clubs matches but you need to find the right local timing. Major clubs are Persepolis, Esteghlal, Tractor Sazi, Sepahan, Foolad, and Zob Ahan. They usually won't show lesser clubs' matches live.

    http://www.telewebion.com/#!/live/tv3/

    or this one (Sport Channel)
    http://www.telewebion.com/#!/live/varzesh/

These links are all in Persian commentary. The rest of the times these two channels show regular programs which can be backward and sometimes boring.

Thank you for your help. I also found persianleague.com which seems to post full match replays. I have no idea why I am interested in the Iranian League, perhaps you guys can explain? I like the look of Persepolis.

I usually don't watch all the matches but take a look at match highlights on youtube. There were two or three youtube accounts which provide good match highlights using videos from IRIB (Iranian public channel) footage. But recently there has been an illegal firm in Germany which is using fake documents to take down these videos as their own by claiming youtube videos and youtube website is directing the videos and related ad money to their accounts. That is why some or many of our old match highlights are not available at this time. Many Iranian fans are fighting back against this illegal German company but Youtube doesn't have enough time or interest to go through this long process as a result many videos are down now. All video footages of IRIB are free for Iranian users to share or reproduce online (except movies).

I have no idea why you like Iranian league (PGPL), that is a question which you need to answer. All I can say is good luck and give you some info.
