So far Persepolis, Esteghlal, Tractor Sazi, Gostaresh, and Sepahan have been busy in transfer window. Persepolis and Esteghlal look promising for next season and I wish them good luck in ACL. We need some good result in that competition and hopefully strong Iranian clubs bring back the glory of early and late 90s when our teams were dominating Asia. The only problem seems to be the high concentration of NT players in both Sorkhabi teams and conflict in NT and clubs training periods. I hope CQ, Branko, Mansourian and the rest of coaches can come to a mutual agreement that both NT and clubs benefit. I don't like to see the shenanigans that happened back in 2015.
Favourites are Persepolis and Esteghlal, Sepahan not too far behind. Is this the season that we finally see the big 3 break away from the rest of the pack?
Great result regardless, Fener had couple of their starters and even their bench players most likely get paid 3-4 times Gostaresh players at least.

I watched the second half of Esteghlal Khuzestan vs Esteghlal. The only tactic of Mansourian was bekesh ziresh (long ball) football and Khosro Heydari's crosses. Bakhtiar Rahmani was terrible. Heydari was more impressive than Ghafouri in this game.

This is the corrected version of PGPL stats for overall market value of each team's squad. SS Tehran has a player in their squad which was not included here. Leandro Padovani (350k) http://www.transfermarkt.com/padovani/profil/spieler/80045 So basically Sanat Naft Abadan and FC Mashhad (Siah Jamegan) are two teams with minimum financial back up and maximum results while SS Tehran is one of the richest clubs with worst results.

The person responsible for updating transfermarkt.com must be a SS fan. Because he/she refuses to update the result which brings down SS ranking in PGPL. This is not the first time happening. Just look at here. This is 90TV ranking This is transfermarkt ranking
