But again... some players dont look in shape and are top athletes. Some look fit as hell and suck. Kroos looks to be in shape but has been lazy all season long.

I dont care if Isco looks "pudgy". I will judge him on how he performs. If he still runs and plays well, then I don't care.

I look at James Harden in basketball. Dude doesn't look like he has worked out a day in his life. But he can run and gun. So who cares

You would have a point if Isco was naturally chubby or played all the time with excess weight.

The reality is he is not like Harden or those other examples you've given because we have seen Isco play very fit. That is his natural disposition.

So it does matter and had it not Isco wouldn't have happy to be subbed first, breathing hard and gasping for air.

Considering he completely lacks match fitness, it is not exactly surprising that he was burned out.

I don't support Solari's actions but miss me on that narrative.

It's obvious he hasn't been training well. Match sharpness I understand.

Oh come on off of it man. We've seen this too often to pretend like it doesn't matter.

R9, Maradona, Ronaldinho, etc. Its not like any of them forgot how to score a goal and Isco gonna walk around a acting like he's some GOAT.

James is banging hat tricks just because he can finish a 40 yard sprint.

And all this time I thought you were actually concerned about Isco's health.

I mean I'm not making excuses for how he looks

But it's normal for a player to not be match fit after not playing for a while. It's the most common thing on any sport unless u r a freak athlete like Zion

You do know the difference between being match fit and being overweight.... right?

The last time people accused Isco of being fat and overweight and were spotting suspicious "creases" in his shirt, he posted this picture...

... It's just hilarious how people have no clue what's going on inside the club, and still act like they know it all.

I see he hasn't done that this time.

    Smart move.

Wait another week or two and do it.

    Yes.

I'm saying I don't care about the pictures of him looking pudgy. I do worry about what i saw in the game.. he is out of shape. But i will give him a few matches to get back in match fitness

Matches don't get you in shape. Being motivated and training well does.

I mean the pic he posted was an old pic at the time

Isco hasn't looked like that in a long time. This is the equivalent of a fat guy posting a college pic on a dating site.

Its normal that a player maybe is out of rhythm or can't complete the 90 minutes but not that 3 minutes have been added to his mile run.

He's become more mobile rolling than running and that's not going to cut it against better teams than 18th in the table Celta.

Down to one game a week; he's not going to be able to play himself into shape unless walking around the field for 60 minutes is the new standard.

Marcos Llorente came in after Solari blew a mountain of dust off of him and he was in great shape and immediately impressed. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the same from all our players not getting games.

Especially if they are aiming to take back a spot and know the manager has it out for them. Give them no extra excuses to keep you out. Get fit with a proper regimen that these millionaires can so easily setup for themselves to be fit as you possibly can be.

LOL. 36 passes, too tired to do anything basically. Just saw his distance covered was like 3.4 km.

Kroos completing 92/95 passes is sideway passing passenger and Isco doing half of that plus scoring the opener of the game is too tired. Great!

So according to this narrative we don't need any signings for midfield. Our midfield is the best in the world.... except when Ajax dominates them.

Or when barca.. or Girona.. or damn near any good or decent team who doesn't stupidly concede possession to us like Simeone.

Honestly i would sell both of them. Then invest in Eriksen and Lo Celso.

I keep reading a lot about Lo Celso recently, how good is he really, how did he do against Farca recently, I haven’t watched him, what exactly does he bring to the table that makes him a viable target for us at this time
