Carvajal started at Real Madrid when he was 10 years old. One season away in Germany when he was 21 doesn't change that he's homegrown. Diego Llorente started at Real Madrid when he was 8, Marcos Llorente when he was 13. I'd say these guys are HG. Agreed on Vallejo(Zaragoza) and Morata(Getafe).
ya i understand its not the same but its much more difficult to get a home grown player nowadays than it was back then, even barca's treble winning team a few years back a lot of their "homebred" players were actually just the best players at academies across spain that they got and most werent even catalan and many werent even that young when they were got in this gives rise to a question... is ramos considered a real madrid legend the same way raul and casillas and butragueno and sanchis are?
Real Madrid has never been a team a spaniard only stars. That is actually rare. Some of its most impactig starts have all been foreigners. DiStefano, Puskas, Hugol, Zidane, Redondo, figo, laudrup, roberto carlos, suker, mijatovic, seedorf, pepe, marcelo, Cristiano, Ronaldo, VNR, Zamorano.

First half had trouble getting into the game because it was too bouncy and being cleared all over the place. 2nd half once we put the ball on the ground and started playing, he grew. That move on Alves, cherry on the m-f'ing cake.
Love this guy. Sign the contract already!!! I think he sees Bale being benched( injury or not) in a final in his hometown as a sign that ZZ will no longer pick a name or a price tag when it comes to starting. We can and should pick both but best should start.
Gento, Munoz, Rial, Amancio, Butragueno, Michel, Juanito, Raul, Guti, Salgado, Casillas, Alonso, Ramos. Forgein players are very important to Madrid's identity you are right, but just as important as the Spanish players.
What a season for Isco. He spent half of it as a substitute and as someone who would be sold at the end of it, and finished it like an absolute boss, as one of our most important players. Hope he stays here for maaaaany yewrs
You guys think he'll take the #10 when James leaves? He's a spanish fan favorite so it'll be better from a marketing perspective than say Modric. But I think it'll depend on his role next season.
