Well, if he's telling the truth and has watched a lot of Hearts games, we should praise him for his civic-mindedness and ability to endure torture for 90' on a regular basis.

If he's lying, we should congratulate him for having the good sense to not watch Hearts and the SPL, and so avoiding having to endure torture for 90' on a regular basis.

    Simple really. ;)

So have Hearts been getting better results now that they have banished their Americans to the bench?

Nope. Since benching Perry on Feb. 4th their record reads WDLLWL - 7 points from 6 games.

Which is the same number of points that they got from their previous 6 games.

My, ahem, mind works like an Irish railway: one track, dirty, and seldom used. :speechless:

Hearts lose btw, locking 2nd for Aberdeen, I think. Even still mathematically still in hunt for 1st, tho not going to happen. Was already 2-0 when Kitchen came on. As noted earlier, Hearts have been "'bout the same" with or without Kitchen. I think you could argue they have been a touch better with him, but not some clear difference either way.

Basically, their troubles started when they switched coaches, right?

Dang I wasn't expecting him to play, I missed this one.

The trick to watch huge amounts of soccer is to have a setup with many screens. I have five in my current one. This is a pic from back when I had only four:

That's the home office only, I have three more in the living room (including the big TV). So, on weekends, I can watch up to a dozen games simultaneously, although at times it does get confusing.

PS: I can see the living room with the office doors open.

Personally I can't even post on an Internet forum and really watch a game at the same time haha.

Naah. There's no need. His cabling is a spaghetti junction anyway, so he probably tucks into them directly. o_O

    "Shocking" thought I know.

I prepare some mean spaghetti. But, actually, you can get used to following several games at the same time. Just keep the volume low in most, and leave it on on the two or three most interesting. There are people out there who can game on a bunch of monitors at the same time. I'm not a gamer at all, so to me it seems impossible.

PS: Also, if you miss a game you must watch, they usually have the full game in the forum "download full matches" in a certain place that provides streams and that has a name related to red cards. The games are often in Spanish or Russian or some continental Euro language, though. And they're available only for a few weeks after the game.

Awful lot of our YA's starting in these meaningless mid-international week friendlies. Cup half-full guy says they're at least getting looks , cup half-empty guy says well, yeah, in worthless games....

Big difference between a pro like Kitchen and academy players like Gaines or the Schalke contingent. Definitely a positive of sorts for the youth players.

Well, let's say they have earned their spots in charity, testimonial, and friendly mid-season matches.

It's only bad to play if you get hurt. Or burned out. This game sounded like fun. A bunch of Dundee "old time stars" played (Craig Conway, Garry Kenneth, Jon Daly, Danny Swanson, Prince Buaben and Andy Webster from their cup winning side of 2010.)

I have to say, though, Kitchen was completely caught ball watching on the Dundee equalizer. (He's #6 with the armband, I think. Go to 1:00)

Today he was one of their better players, which is not much to say, but everything bad came through the other side (left). Johnsen reported to have been quite useless though.
