Bury expelled from EFL. Bolton given 14 days. I don't know much about these teams (Bury, especially), but I understand the value these clubs have in their community.
Bolton under Allardyce were a massive pain in the ass and had some really fantastic players (Okocha, Anelka, Sturridge). The Reebok was a tough ground to play at too. Remember Frank's brace there to seal the title really well. Yeah, the Bolton news for me matters more because I remember they were really a decent PL side.
Between 2003-07, they finished 8th, 6th, 8th, and 7th. That last year was when they fired Big Sam and things took a tumble. Jasskilinennennen, Anelka, Davies, Diouf, Speed, Nolan, Ivan Campo! I remember Stuart Holden joining in 09 or something and was the engine of that team until injuries took their toll.
Telegraph says Bolton saved at last minute thankfully. Bury, had a last minute 7 million rescue bid turned away by the EFL so may be action taken to the High Court if the decision is not or can not be appealed, perhaps not quite a dead parrot yet https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...anderers-saved-club-sold-tofootball-ventures/
Someone on here has to have some kind of money. I pen KDB for lowkey maybe highkey billionaire, spending his retirement posting to this board from the comfort of his private beach in Maldives
What’s the point of VAR if they can’t fix stuff like the end of Villa vs Crystal. Grealish gets a yellow for a dive but was actually fouled and could have been a PK, Villa still scores and the ref waives it of and give a yellow for a dive and doesn’t review a thing. That’s just crazy.
I thought VAR could review any potential PK. So is it because he called it a dive they can’t review it but if he called a PK they could have?
See that’s just ridiculous. I get they can’t review everything but that’s the exact type of thing VAR needs to review.
So Pocchetino is now a bad manager because he only managed a draw at Arsenal with none of his first choice CMs fit from the start? Lol.
not a bad manager, just not in the best of the best category, not "a genius" (did not say bad manager did I) he has a very talented squad, especially in attack, usually a deep squad (not as much this year in defense due to some iffy dealings the last couple years), and not because of this match, ahhh-Newcastle-choo, but because with that talent he never really wins anything (one near cup run does not greatness make) amazes me how much slack and praise and patience and rabid defense of, he gets from many and the press who have little or none for other managers
Lukaku scores a penalty winner at cagliari and is racially abused into the bargain. Disgusting behaviour. Not quite at Lazio levels of human stain but vile nonetheless. Still shameful when it happens from even a small number at the Bridge too but its moved on light years from the 80s. Much work to do, especially in some countries
It’s not like Kepa has done better on that score! Real are a basket case this year. Courtois isn’t the problem, though I think he’s a better keeper for a club that defends deeper rather than plays a more open style.
