As a footnote, I'd be far more worried about what conte could do with that team than what zidane would achieve (as a chelsea fan). Whilst he doesnt have the flowing style the fans would want, he's proven he can turn down teams around. That team still needs discipline and steel as much as it needs belief. Right now they just look beaten up.

Isn't the point about Fellaini AT ManU that he sometimes does OK... FOR FELLAINI!

United are all over the place. DeGea just made a miraculous save otherwise it would have been 3-0. And that should have been a penalty - so 4-0.

Lukaku is the only United player playing with spirit. We should try to signhim in January.

I'm loving watching Man U fail right now

Edit: as I say that they get the winner

Man U were super lucky. Still, it sets it up nicely for next week.

    Damn it, Nations League.

Either way, I loathe internationals for so many reasons.

I see Liverpool's butchers bill includes Salah, VVD, Keita and Mane. Ouch. Pretty sure they are hating on internationals too.

Interesting comments from Rummenigge about recent media coverage. Sounds very much as if he were a dictator that the media has the temerity to question. You can always tell a lot more about someone when things are tough than when they are easy.

So true Andy. They'd fold in England.

Conte reportedly close to Madrid. Twist in the tale. Would Hazard go if that happens? Conte probably will not be defensive at Madrid though.

Conte will always do what he is comfortable with just like any manager would IMO. It may start out different, but at the first sign of trouble he'll go to what he knows.

It's not a bad fit, but IMO bailing on the new guy is a mistake. They need to rebuild the squad first and foremost as losing Ronaldo is a much bigger loss than most predicted.

Fair. He kept saying he didn't want to play this way with us but was handicapped by players. This will be his only chance (if he gets it) to prove he can be the best.

I love the guy. I thunk his style is tough on players, not like Mourinho was, but hard in the sense that he demands so much in training.

My personal feelings are that clubs needs a rebuild. Would Conte want to be a part of that? All reports say yes.

Because the one thing all top clubs are screaming out for is more fixtures.

"Fifa is set to revive controversial plans for a new Club World Cup and Nations League, that had previously been backed by Saudi Arabian cash."

My heart bleeds. I would love for conte to get that job and make navas his number 1. Karma's a helluva drug.

Hats off to their gaffer though, him and madrid combined have leveled both national and club prospects in a matter of months and may walk away with 15m as a result. Hero.

Very sad to see the Leicester owner confirmed as dead in that helicopter crash. I suppose they had to make triple sure of the facts which is why it took a while for official news.

Too many memories of Matthew Harding and will be hard for that fanbase for quite some time.

Couldn't happen to a better person. Hope you are enjoying Madrid Courtois.

Terrible tragedy for the Leceister owner. Shocked.
