Assuming you're going to the match in person (coincidentally in London myself today), pretty much any pub near the ground will be fine for atmosphere. I would recommend being a bit further out around noon so you can get a seat and a bite to eat and then head closer for a last pint (it will be sardines but that's probably what you want). Loads of choices here: http://thechels.info/wiki/Pubs_near_Stamford_Bridge My standard for that last pre match pint or 3 was the Britannia as was (better atmosphere there than the stadium ha) but no doubt that has all changed (not just the name either). For food I used to meet up with my fellow STHs around the north end road area from the link.
What a match this City-Liverpool meeting is. It's interesting that both team's best players were once on the Chelsea books at one point. However, I dont think they would have become the players they are today if they stayed. It's still frustrating. Mane - what a goal. And that "defending" by Stones on Firmino.
Alexis announced for United, Mkhitaryan announced for Arsenal, and De Bruyne extends his contract with City until 2023. The Alexis-Mkhitaryan transfer ended up being a straight swap. Kinda surprised Arsenal couldn’t squeak out a few million on top of the swap, but I guess Sanchez’s contract ending pretty much completely took away their negotiating power
the clubs would have negotiated the terms separately. so maybe the transfer fees would be similar, but i'm certain just about everything else would be different. for example, sign on bonus, agent fees etc.
From what I understand, there's no transfer fee at all. That is the main part I am talking about as far as Arsenal not getting anything in addition to Mkhitaryan. Maybe I am misunderstanding what I've read so far though
Straight swap. It would have been tricky for Arsenal to get a replacement who Wenger wants as well in Jan. Even Bordeaux wanted 45m for Malcolm.
Dirty, stupid, idiotic Leeds. Looking at it from a creative perspective, I mean, really?! What creative director and VP of marketing thought this was a good idea?!
I have a feeling it had to do with "connecting to the youth markets." When will companies learn. Youth don't have money.
It is really hard to rank the 3 things in this picture. It's like being asked what kind of stab wound to the genitals would I prefer.
