He will look great in Utd's red kit next season.

It it helps/serve Jose, I do not think anything is beyond him and more importantly I dont want him here.

I don't think he plans on signing for a Europa League team.

United still have two routes into the CL.

I still don't see why fans don't want Lukaku. He's matured. He's no worse than Bat and got great league experience. If Costa ships off back to Spain, I'd take Lukaku and Griezman.

It's not a question of simply "we don't want him", it's the opportunity cost. He's going to be stupid expensive, and why are we assuming Costa is going back to Spain?

That's what the rags are saying. Given that United and City are going to buy big again, everyone is going to be stupid expensive.

    On a lighter note -

An omniscient being could tell us Costa retires here and the rags would still say he's going to Spain.

Where would Costa go? Back to Atletico? Seems doubtful with Gameiro there.

I'm hopeful Costa stays and we upgrade at RWB, CM and forward.

Only way I see Costa going back to Spain is in a deal that involves Griezman

If we are buying a defender this summer we had better do it early/quickly as Citeh my need to buy all the defenders ever.

Plenty of them around, and we'd be looking for different types.

Not many are at John Stones level though.

Well not in the professional leagues :D

Long as Pep keeps thinking guys like Chygrynskiy and Stones are good, we'll be fine.

And some of the most inept finishing you will see. That was a great example of why we are top and why the gap is what it is.

Think Lallana officially crossed the famous Torres miss?

Firimino started celebrating before Lallana missed. Dropped to his knees and slid out of the touch line with his arms out wide. That entire sequence was awesomely pathetic!

What can one say about Stone that Pepe hasn't said already. . .

"John Stones has more personality than anyone in this room," Guardiola told a post-match media briefing.

"I am delighted to have him. He has been under pressure. The people criticise him. But it is not easy to play central defence with this manager. I don't want long balls and passes down the channel. I want him 40 metres back to build up the play.

"With all his huge amount of mistakes, I love him."

is this a good thing to say about a player?

Pep's sarcasm is annoying and great. Of course he has to defend his buys - John Stones cost a ton of money and is probably at English Championship level and Pep still loves him even because of and in spite of his mistakes. Makes sense.

    A genius!

IMO, nah. Torres had a wide open net.
