Moonshine prevents sunburn now? Speaking of moonshine. I guess to try to cash in on the whole artisinal thing that Redneckia missed out on the last 15 years, I drove past. some kind of Bubba Gump's Moonshine Company. Does that mean they serve it in glasses instead of cupping yer hands?
Reminds me of the time I went to a game at Elland Road in Leeds. I parked in a lot from a business that was right off the highway off-ramp, and the attendant was Boomhauer from King of the Hill, with a Yorkshire accent: "Free quid, mate! Y'gi roi [mumble, mumble, mumble] stroi awoy, ova 'ere [mumble, mumble, mumble], roi ba' onna mo-a-woy, an bob's yer oooncwe!" Since it was an auto repair shop, I was worried that they'd steal/strip down my car, so I tried to engage them for a while, since I was about an hour early and the only car in the lot. I asked them if they were Leeds fans, etc. but the only thing I understood was "Nah, oi fancy the rooogbeh." Fortunately I saw the highlights on TV the night before and knew about the big grudge match between Salford Reds (his team!) and St. Helen's (a.k.a. "thu scoooooom!"). Then a woman drove up in a Mercedes convertible, and I figured if they were going to steal a car it would be hers and not my Toyota sub-compact rental.
I'm not a 12 year old fanboi. We lost to VA Tech at home the last time we won it all. I'm not saying that will be the case this year. Watching Barrett yesterday and then Wilson today, I hope Barrett gets a degree.
Only because you don't wake up to get outside until near dark A cousin's husband distills a cinnamon & apricot infused moonshine that is the closest thing to drinking a warm cinnamon roll I have ever tasted.
We Penn Staters have to hear about what horrible people we are because we failed to stop Sandusky's predatory behavior. Sandusky was a nice guy predator. Parents should watch out for nice guy predators. People should educate themselves before making judgements on people they don't know.
Sandusky was known as at lesst a potential predator by people in significant positions of power.Even without physical proof, there was a clear pattern of grooming and violation of boundaries. He's not a nice guy,and neither are his enablers.
Nobody says that. Nobody holds YOU personally responsible for what happened. The powers-that-be failed to stop Sandusky even though they knew. Too many PSU alumni & supporters wanted to let that all slide.
Awww...are Penn Staters liddle feelwings still hurt? I'm a parent so let's do a thought experiment based on a Sandusky-esque fact pattern. When my married neighbor "Fred" the HS football coach down the block opens up a charity for at-risk youth or just becomes a Big Brother and is constantly seen in the company of 12 year old boys around town, that's not something I'd necessarily do...but OK, he's doing a good thing for kids. Then one day Fred has a backyard BBQ and when he's not discussing the pros & cons of man coverage vs zone to the adult men, he's rolling on the ground wrestling & tickling young boys who are just wearing bathing suits. OK, my boys are never going over there again. Then a few months later Fred leaves his car windows open during a rainstorm and u knock on the door to let him know & lo & behold Fred's cornholing one of those at-risk youths you saw at the BBQ on his couch. You try to strangle Fred and he runs out the back door. That's vigilance in a normal parental situation. What kinda kids was Fred targeting? The ones who have limited if any parental involvement. Penn State higher ups knew what that POS was up to or should have.
No such thing. But it is that belief which make predators so successful, the disbelief that "nice guys" wouldn't do such a thing. Specially when they take on "trouble" kids.
. . .and Penn Staters who hate their school being associated with pedophilia should stop reminding everyone about it long after folks have stopped talking/thinking about it
Plus Pacino's going to play him in the HBO movie! They didn't go for the obvious - Joe Pesci. But Pacino. Even if Pacino ignores the molestation on screen as JoePa certainly did, you got an all-time great, Penn Staters.
