I've always liked the cut of this kid's jib. And I agree. He won't set the world on fire but will be a consistent performer for club and country.

Don't trust the actual graphic. Lower right is the GK and then the next 4 are probably his back line. Orozco was probably at right back.

Miguel Herrera at left wing should have been the giveaway.

He's like the MLB player who hits .260 and is in the league for like 20 years lol

As for Mr. Arriola, I really look forward to him coming off the bench for the rest of the year, despite what seems to he him performing whenever he gets called upon...

He consistently sucked for the national team.

Sucked is such a drastic exaggeration. Honestly 5.5 sounds about right.

Sucking is an objective measure. Even so, he was the weakest link in many a sad Klinsmann qualifying/gold cup performances. And he was chosen over better players.

Honestly reliving the Omar Fiscal era is not what I'm interested in.

He was a solid player and we could have done much worse. He still has his role as a bench player IMO.

Klinsmann picked Fiscal over Gonzo on occasion. There was much controversy about Fiscal around these parts during that time period. I also recall him having an awful Gold Cup at some point.

This whole time I thought we were talking about Arriola. I read back and saw it's about Orozco. I agree he sucked most times he played in a US Uniform. Not as bad as most people judged him but more than enough that his repeated call-ups were frustrating as hell.

I think the most baffling time that Orozco got callups was when he was playing with Xolos U-20's for most of the 2015-2016 Clausura. Yes, a 30-yo on a youth team. Klinsmann clearly liked him, but there was zero justification for him to be starting at CB for the USMNT in a World Cup qualifier at Guatemala, when he couldn't even make the bench of Tijuana's senior team. At least now he has been starting fairly regularly for Tijuana's senior team, so a callup could arguably have some justification (even if I don't agree with it based on his mediocre MNT performances).

I had huge problems with Juergan Klinsmann's irresponsible Fiscal policy.

Paul Nips has played a little right back for Xolos no? Would have liked to see him calm my nerves and come in for Zusi the other night. Would have liked to see him with more mins regardless of his position.

Apparently Arriola got an assist in a 2-1 win?
