Path for 11 y/o to play in high school and beyond

    RHRH, the SAQ sounds like a good idea. The Parisi website lists videos -- did you by chance see them yourself or hear if the videos are of value? Would you recommend SAQ style training at 11 or wait?

    MWULF67, I was glad that you wrote about physical differences from a different perspective. I never really thought of it from a larger player's perspective. You are right that at the younger ages there are always some very nimble kids who dominate (watch which kids at v young ages (4-8)can run backwards with no problem while many kids fall over). Larger, lankier kids seem to have trouble at first and then catch up. Smaller kids having problems with heavier kids is not much different than bigger kids being less nimble possibly than the lighter players.

    As others have mentioned, perseverance is needed.
