I've defended park chu young right up to the match against Algeria, but enough. The netizens were right. He might have been talented but evidence that he has a shit attitude and is selfish has been out there for a long time. I posted this a while back but I don't think many people saw it. It's basically a list/timeline of all the organizations and people he has ********ed over in the past, beginning from his pohang days. http://mlbpark.donga.com/mbs/articleV.php?mbsC=bullpen&mbsIdx=2508428
i fail to see how he's been selfish and ********ing over organizations.. just let the hate subside. he wasn't the player that people prematurely labelled him as, but he's hardly the first to not meet expectations.
stop being rational. pcy exists for netizens to have five minutes of schadenfruede at the skilled boy failing while they themselves live their own menial and pathetic lives.
As a free agent, he's free to sign after transfer market period. So, I guess in his case there will be couple of clubs interested on park when their own strikers gets injured(that's what I read from today's dureden column). It will take some kind of effort to win back the fans in homeland now. But let's see what happens.
Not really news but his name did come up on an article. My point in posting is not to suggest that Leeds has interest but more pointing out that as a free agent, PCY can take his time and try to find a good fit (and a club desperate enough for a striker to gamble on him) without worrying about things like transfer windows (or what netizens think). http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/09/02/five-free-agent-signings-leeds-united-should-consider/
except PJY has a long...long way to go to get his conditioning and form back. Even the WC, he did not look good at all. More time he takes off, smaller chance he will ever become the player he once was. Perosnally, I think his career has pretty much reached its end.
I think his career is most likely over as well but a month extra wait is not going to make a difference.
If he can't find a club to play football in, he has to find a coaching job to be able to keep his military exemption. That's why I suspect he got his coaching license. It's hard to believe that not a single club would want him as a free agent. Maybe he just has no desire to play unless if it's in Europe.
Isn't he free of military exemption due to the Olympics or did he decided not to accept the exemption?
Why have Arsenal’s Asian stars failed to shine under Arsène Wenger? http://www.theguardian.com/football...n-players-arsene-wenger-miyaichi-park-inamoto
Yet your avatar is of pcy lol. He should be having second thoughts for turning down Lille, especially when he left middle of a medical. Odds of him repeating a double digit domestic goal campaign were decent too. Even at the time, pcy to me was at most going to be a rotational guy; I certainly didn't think he was going to be a starter.
The meltdown on these boards is hilarious. Oh, the irony of having called Wenger all those names for so many years only to find out that PCY probably never earned his right to get a run of meaningful games! Why take a chance on someone when doing so could mean that you lose points in a situation where every game is vital for a team aiming for third or fourth most seasons? The notion that Wenger somehow owed him a run of games was always an unfounded one. It took the fanboys over three years to concede what I have been saying all along - except those who still believe that having one good season in a second-rate team in a second-rate league makes one worthy of special treatment.
