    A sad end to his European career but hopefully he can regain form and help us at the WC.

    lol, i recall how most of us gave him the brush off when he moved to Basel. I'd say he had a great run in Europe that most Asian players can be proud of.

    For sure. And instead of seeing only his failure at Dortmund we should remember his success at Mainz. He was and is Bundesliga quality.

    He opted to stay longer at BVB for his post-career path as a manager despite knowing he won't play. I think thats kinda brave/rational decision. Now he still has a chance to go to WC if he does well as he doesn't lack the talent.

    That daring to take a chance is what got him to where he got to even if the peak wasn't ideal. We should hope all our players have such desires to move up rather than joining miserable teams (and ending up in same boat).
