He absolutely sucked in the two games esp against Syria. However, in the K League he's showing very good performances. It's a mentality thing I think. He's not KNT material in mental aspect.
unfit PJH > KJS or any fullback for Korea. not sure why this is even a debate... one can at least cross, good in possession (as in, not waste & constantly give the ball away) & doesn't get beat in 1v1 situation so frequently.
No doubts about that. What I'm saying is that he won't be a big upgrade because of his bad form. Maybe a small one, hopefully enough for against Qatar, Uzbeks and maybe even Iran (his regressed speed is a big worry imo tho). But in long term, you can't plan with a player with no playing time. Still, he should've been called up because there were no alternatives. What I want to say is that he should move in the Summer, somewhere he can regain his form.
considering how awful some of the FBs are, I think unfit PJH is huge upgrade. as for long term, PJH is done after 2018 WC (which is 1 yr from now).. so, i personally don't care about long term when it comes to PJH. speed/pace was never one of his strength.. not worried about him losing some "speed" because he isn't match fit. if anything, my worry is that he can't play full 90 mins, thus a sub must be burned to replace him early.
Hard to tell if he is good or not when he never gets a proper chance. One good game against Uzbekistan doesn't mean it's his real form. But for the next games we should give him a chance. He ain't worse than what we have anyway.
if PJH is fit enough to be on the bench for Dortmund, even if he can't run for more than 20 minutes, he'll be an upgrade over KJS performance.
Realizing that he never got a new thread for season... Anyway So spielt der #BVBII: Reimann - Camoglu, Zimmermann, Mainka, Park - Karazor - Wassey, Hober, Sauerland, Eberwein - Isak #BVB pic.twitter.com/Hy4LF6WwTc— Ruhr Nachrichten BVB (@RNBVB) April 19, 2017
That would be a huge win for Leverkusen (and the squad fits) but I think Tuchel would prefer bigger fishes to them.
unless he decides to take a break & wait.. can't think of bigger fish atm. also, can he wait? he has a rep of difficult to work with... the longer he waits, it will be difficult for him imo.
He sat out the previous contract for one year doing nothing, now he gets a couple mils from BVB wanting to cut his contract short. I doubt Tuchel is in any hurry. Official club statements only said there was no basis for collaboration to continue without going into any details (they even asked to refrain to rumor...). The next coach is apparently Favre who isn't exactly known to be amenable either, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not gonna lie, the google translate on this is rough, no idea how legit site is and why a former manager who is currently in charge of Romania NT has to do with it at all. But Fenerbahce and PJH? http://www.90min.com/tr/posts/5084987-christoph-daum-dan-fenerbahce-ye-joo-ho-park-onerisi
not sure if makes much difference to PJH but Bosz official Schön, dass Du da bist, Peter Bosz! // Glad you're here, Peter Bosz! #welkombosz #bvb #bvblive pic.twitter.com/iI3aCY156O— Borussia Dortmund (@BVB) June 6, 2017
Don't know much about Bosz aside that at Ajax he supported a young defender to a fault. Considering the amount of young players at BVB he may be a good fit (not sure if successful though).
Are you referring to De Ligt? He's received only praise all season while playing for Ajax and looked quite good in Europa. He did have several nightmares while playing for the Netherlands NT, but that wasn't under Bosz.
Yes, it was half in jest though. Between Bosz, Favre and Stöger (was he seriously in consideration?) I definitely think Bosz is the best fit style wise. Though I won't expect an improvement in defense performance.
