Very likely so. Because why would you call for the press to announce that you're going to play one more season.

I'll start a series of Park memories.

Back in 2010 World cup game against Uruguay, around the 29th minute mark, there was an instance in which Park cuts off a weak short back pass by Cavani and dribble 40 yards on the left side to set himself for a cross that went unsuccessful.

This one sticks out for me because it was the first time in a long time and the last time in which Park ran at full tilt speed. PSV Eindhoven Park was a monster and often we saw Park at this speed. And in even in first season at United, we saw more aggressively running Park. But after disastrous injury-plagued '06-07 season, when he came back at Sunderland back in December of '07 we started to see a different Park. Never did we see Park running at full speed at United. But more of a controlled paced, and was put in a position to be more tactical by his manager.

This Uruguay burst stands out because Park knew that 2010 World Cup would his last, vowed to give everything, and leave nothing on the table. Just looking at his willingness to run full tilt knowing that he on borrowed time showed us that he had the biggest heart in the field to play another game in the World Cup. He's number one in my book.

His individual performance is timeless. Too bad twats like JSR had to ruin it.
