Vela's worst game of the season. At least everyone else was on point.

Dont flame me but he reminds me of Donovan. Donovan had a some really good seasons in EPL but dude just wanted to be "home" and didn't want the European glory. He spent large parts of his prime dominating the MLS and was the best player for his national team. But that is where the comparison stops because it seems Vela wants no part of NT unlike Donovan.

He flopped in Leverkusen and Bayern though. Vela didn't really flop anywhere.

Arsenal flop according to British press but I blame Wenger for that. He flopped hard in Salamanca and Osasuna for sure. Finally lived up to the hype with RS but even that was a flop if you consider he was better than Griezmann but Griezmann continued to grow and Vela didn't care to reach higher heights. I would call that a mini-flop if you don't reach your potential that you are capable of.

As for Donovan, I wouldn't call him a flop. He didn't want to be in Europe and only made like 12 appearances total. He wanted out before having a chance to flop.

Point is, he came "home" to MLS and dominated similar to Vela. Spent his prime in MLS. Like I said the only difference was Donovan always gave everything to his NT unlike Vela.

I admire you for believing that.

Seems to me like you're not all that familiar with Donovan's european career. Or Vela's for that matter, if you find any similarities between them.

Aren't these two parts in direct contradiction?

Sort of but because Donovan didn't have the game appearances before he left while Vela had hundreds of appearances in La Liga it's diff imo.

Also, my assumption is Vela could have reached 10 times the peak of Donovan. Vela could have have reached Ballon d'Or winning levels imo. Donovan never had a chance for that level.

And with this win and FC Dallas failing to win, LAFC is the first team to seal their playoff spot this season, with 9 fixtures left.

Most talented Mexican player of all time. Would have made history if he was at the 2014 world cup
