I have long felt that McBean was clearly the shittiest member of this roster.... But clearly I haven’t given Danny Wilson enough credit in this very important category. He has been genuinely terrible.
There's a lot of game left. It really could go either way. Chicago doesn't look vastly superior... but there's a lot of game left...
Explain to me why a team that is incapable of protecting a 2-0 lead, at home, before hitting halftime, has any hope whatsoever?
You'll feel differently after McBean scores twice in the 2nd half for a Rapids win! Of course there's a chance that might not happen...
Well its the 57th minute. A yellow to some Rapid for a crappy tackle from behind. Still 2-2, no real chances for either team so far in the second half. That yellow could have been red. Edit minute 59: Schweinsteiger crushes a 30 yarder and Timmy parries it out.
Chicago has had a lot of corners the second half... Luckily, they've been really weak...5 to 3 on corners in favor of Chicago... 66.5% to 33.5% possession for Chicago! Wow! 63rd minute.
I hate to keep ragging on Wynne each match, but anybody that played club soccer as a kid knows you don't just kick the ball blindly into the center of the field from your 18.
Its not like he had a ton of options... the movement off the ball wasn't exact Barca-esque. But yes, that was a shitty clearance.
I'm really perplexed that the Rapids are giving Chicago nearly ALL of the possession at home, where they are supposed to run the opponents to exhaustion in the altitude. I just don't get it.
I realize this is heresy...but I genuinely don’t want a tie here....on either side. Would rather see an emphatic, heart stopping late goal to propel us onto greater things (theoretically)... Or a Chicago goal that would enable us to continue our losing streak, which ironically is the one thing we have been capable of repeating with dependable success
Red card to Chicago for a high boot to the face.. Kappelhof... Raps with a man advantage for ten minutes
5 minutes stoppage time... Great defensive play by Smith to prevent a goal by Chicago... Going to be tense!
