What ticks me off the most is that when this team feels like it, they can beat anybody. The problem is that they dont feel like it every game or even most games. Absolutely great last night.... where was this team against Chicago? or all the months before ? There can be no excuse for all the no shows they pulled this season. The fact that they can turn it on when they feel like it makes me think more than ever that the problem is Heaps. He either can't inspire them or they have no fear of the results if they take the night off. Perhaps we need a new GM that can get us quality bench players that can actually push the starters for minutes. Right now that can't happen so the starters can do what they want
I took this as a "we'll just move the goalposts" i.e., reset our objectives and still do not much of anything to aim higher.
I think you're reading wayyyyy too much into this game, IMHO. This team played with no pressure, because there was none. The game was essentially meaningless. Montreal sat a few players as well.
From your keyboard to Simon Borg's ears, and he says deserved... Kei's twerking celebration, plus PK debate in KC | Instant Replay, Week 34 October 25, 2016 2:55PM EDT
This tweet is a video compilation of the best goal celebrations for each team. The official MLS twitter account picked Kamara twerking as the Revs best celebration. About the 29 second mark. If you're gonna score, you better have a good celebration lined up. https://t.co/MEbn1gik0A— Major League Soccer (@MLS) November 8, 2016
Yeah, I agree. Kind of like how on one hand the league likes to advertise using images of supporters groups in the middle of actions that look fun/cool and sell the experience, while on the other hand the league/teams also try to prevent or otherwise control the same actions.
Still better than the NFL, where he's have gotten a penalty, then gotten a fine from the league. I suspect MLS would rather he hadn't been carded.
