Well, the summer doldrums have definitely hit this board. Two days before an important game, and the game that gets us to the halfway mark, and still no game thread (till now).

In general, when the Revs have blown off the USOC, they've wound up suffering some pretty bad defeats their next game... hope that doesn't happen this year.

If both Diego and Rowe went 90 this week, which one will heaps pick for this game? maybe he starts neither and goes:

    Bobby
    Woodberry-Farrell-Jogo-Tierny
    Caldwell-Doorman
    Agudelo-Nguyen-Bunberry
    Davies

    Some "analysis" from MLS.com

I think with 3 full days to recover and short travel time/distance, everyone from Wednesday should be available.

I wouldn't be shocked if Daigo moves back in for Dorman - I'm just not sure if this is the matchup to do it. Daigo looked pretty much back to full speed on Wednesday and would bring more speed/movement to the lineup.

I don't see Rowe starting, with everyone available and probably not Diego either. I've got to think that Nguyen's minutes have to be in danger at some point (if he doesn't start producing), but the fact that he didn't play on Wednesday makes me think Heaps was saving him for Sunday.
Interesting stuff. Unfortunately, without Jones, our transition game has slowed to a snail's pace and our passing has returned to the pre-JJ methodical work it around the back, before letting Shuttleworth boot it forward "style".

Everyone knows our starting lineup... Not much to discuss. I hope Teal posterizes Taylor Kemp. Dorman starts, but hopefully Kobayashi comes in for thirty minutes. If we're winning, he helps us play keep-away. If we're losing, he'll have less attention than Nguyen and might provide a killer pass.

I hope Diego starts. He needs minutes to continue building his confidence. Would love to see more goals like the last one.

    Nice start - Revs 1, frauds 0
Davies finishes a good ball from Lee - Hamid had no chance. 7 goals. Why again is he not in the USMNT picture?

Have to keep pressing those guys. Keep them on their heels.

22' great opportunity for Tierney on a break down the left flank, but his shot was right at Hamid. Good save by their keeper but damn Tierney - anywhere but the keeper!

Agudelo misses a gilt edge opportunity on a Woodberry cross. Damn 2 0 at the half would have been ideal.

Good first half by Lee. He's been making a nuisance of himself and getting into dangerous spots all day. So glad to see him getting back to his old self.

So many opportunities to extend the lead...

But at least we brought KA in to lock down the defense.

Hmmmm unmarked guy on our right side and a goal. Could that be the position Heaps just put Alston into? If so, another key strategic screw up

wondering why Daigo was not the sub for Dorman. Daigo is certainly more sound defensively

Now 19 goals given up in Alston's 11 appearances this year - 7 after he's come on as a sub.

Only 3 goals given up in the 6 games he hasn't played.
