Is it too early to call this the "Mediocracy Derby?" Or are we just on the cusp of mediocre?:D

    Cuspidal representation
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In number theory, cuspidal representations are certain representations of algebraic groups that occur discretely in [IMG] spaces. The term cuspidal is derived, at a certain distance, from the cusp forms of classical modular form theory. In the contemporary formulation of automorphic representations, representations take the place of holomorphic functions; these representations may be of adelic algebraic groups."

I think this will be a competitive game to watch. Both teams need points, so it will be imperative that both teams attack in order to get a win. That said, I think the Revs are most dangerous when they counter quickly. It almost seems that if they have too much of the ball in the offensive third that they screw it up by making one too many passes.
I'm feeling hopeful... 2-1 Revs win

I have inside information from a reliable source that the game plan for Saturday is that if we happen to find ourselves ahead by 2 or 3 goals at 60 minutes, we will pull the talent and play for the tie.

This guy is already showing and honest, leadership type quality. And, he backs it up with his play. He would make a good captain some day.

I vote for NOW. I don't see a lot of leadership from Lee other than organizing the post game clap.

So...fatigue was a factor at the end of the lst game? Annnnndddd--- as we noticed we were one of the teams who in 2016 played the fewest people, we are repeating that in 2017 or at least we don't have a full roster. Why weren't we prepared for this? Oh, that's right Burnsie wanted to keep the powder dry until it was too late.

    Go Revs.

This should be an entertaining match, at the very least. I'd like to see Kamala as a 70th-minute sub. You know who I don't want to see as a 70th-minute sub? JeVaughn Watson.

    Rev starters-
    Nguyen, Agudelo
    Diego
    Kobayashi, Caldwell
    Rowe, Delamea, Smith, Farrell
    Cropper
Kamara didn't make the bench. Must still be out helping with his newborn.

Interestingly, on the bench there are lots of defenders and 2 forwards but no mids. I guess Rowe is that extra mid they can shift further upfield if they need it.

Lets see. We looked very good on offense last week, scored 3 goals .... so what does Heaps do? Take Diego out of AM and switch him with Lee. Why cant he just go with what worked last?

In fairness, the Revs' attack has looked decent so far. Agudelo with a second-half goal?

Here we go... no goals and Heaps just put Watson on... game over

So Diego at AM produced 3 goals. Lets abandon that and go back to Lee at AM. Brilliant
All their attacks are on the right side. Their first goal, Farrell got trapped up. Second goal, our DM didnt get back and their guy got a clean shot. So frustrating

Well that didnt take Watson long to pull a card. He's too dumb to put on the field. And now Tierney on... we are totally finished

I agree,... Heaps has to go. This team will never go anywhere under him. He's had long enough and its not working. DO SOMETHING BURNS

The most discouraging thing about this team is the thinness of the bench. Maybe they have one player to put on who has a hope of making a difference. Meanwhile, Toronto went to Seattle, sat Giovinco, Vasquez, Zavaleta and Beitashour, and came away with a win. Imagine the Revs sitting four of their best starters, and what that would look like.

---and they spent 5 times as much as the Rev ownership has put out to buy the roster than can do that. Now that there is that wide a disparity between the haves and the have nots this league will stop being a parity league and degenerate into a tiered system. It sucks when you are part of the great unwashed have nots. :devilish:

I'm guessing you that isn't because you wanted him in earlier

The only bright side is he is near certain to be suspended for that clothesline

    Pathetic.

Pathetic by the players (shoot the F'in ball!).
Pathetic by Heaps (Watson when down?).
    Pathetic by Burns (no depth).
    Pathetic by Bilello.

And an overall pathetic by Bob Kraft.

At this point in the season, the Revs are only 2 points away from the final playoff spot. From management's point of view this is currently a successful season. They are in the hunt. So sad

The thing that bugs me the most is that the brightest spot in this season (only bright spot, perhaps) so far, Delemea, once again had a subpar game.

The Revs won fire Heaps unless we run into a Chivas-like tailspin. Besides, it would "disrupt chemistry" to bring in a new manager who might shake things up, bench under-performers, give a shot to the guys who haven't been out there and change the tactics and formation. Too risky!

Or, if they do end up doing that, the season will be so far shot that there won't be a chance to salvage things. Kinda like last year, wehn the team finally started to play better in mid-September, but it was too late to pull a magic rabbit out of the hat. If they made a change NOW, the rest of the season could take an upturn. I can't see anything positive happening
Oh come now, let's not be a Negative Nancy! They do that all the time in the Open Cup. The Central Jersey Riptide better beware!
