Okay lets get this party started! What did we learn from Preseason other than the FO failed again on their promises to bolster a team that failed to make the playoffs? New additions for Colorado are Adjie-Boateng and Alan Gordon. This may be the only team that did less than NE in regards to building up their team. The loss of Jones could be huge for them but they are still a solid team. I see NE challenged a mile high this early in the season. 2-0 Colorado. Revs probably roll out something like this .........................................................Cropper ...................Farrell............Angoua..................Delamea..........Tierney .........................................................Caldwell ..........................Nguyen..........................................Fagundez ..................................................Rowe .....................................Agudelo.................Kamara
Colorado looks to me like the same team as last year: not much offense, but a defense that's stingy as hell. I don't think they're going to lose many at home. They're also not going to be much fun to watch.
Based on preseason I'm expecting Nguyen to play as a 2nd forward next to Kamara with Agudelo in the midfield. Caldwell Rowe-Fagundez Agudelo Nguyen-Kamara not much defense on the field there, but we should be set up for the fast counter. Hoof it to Agudelo who dishes behind the defense to Kamara.
If our 2 new central defenders can be effective and if we manage to be solid in the defensive Midfield (big if), then I predict a nil-nil root canal. If not we lose 2, nil. We never win in the mile high air and this being so early in the season should make things tougher. Other than that, actually I'm still optimistic for the season but I see the classic sluggish start written all over the wall, what with Koassi still not game fit and the defense still in the formative stages.
How many times have we won the first game. I think we won at Miami in 1999, but we usually are on the road and often so under-prepared that it's just a formality. The season doesn't actually start until mid-April anyways, right?
We won last time we played there. Never say never (but I know what you mean, it seems like we never win there)
The revs will win this one 2 0 and people will be surprised both here and nationally. They will get everyone's hopes up early this year rather than warm up for 2 months, only to disappoint down the stretch.
Revs tradition calls for a poor first month and a long midsummer slump. I predict a low-scoring affair, probably with us on the wrong end of 1-0. But a win by that line would not be too shocking either, since Colorado isn't apt to explode offensively.
My name is Linus and again this year I'm filled with hope for the success or my team every time we play. GO REVS 1-1
Yeah, it was Charlie Brown who always trusts Lucy not to pull the ball away at the last second. Linus was the piano player. Or was that Schroeder?
Colorado Rapids vs. New England Revolution | 2017 MLS Match Preview March 2, 2017, 12:47PM EST Benjamin Baer
The article has Kouassi starting. I was under the impression that he hasn't been playing much and is not fully recovered. Or did I miss something?
Yeah, he only played 8 minutes in the DDC finale vs Red Bulls. I don't think he is ready to go 90 yet.
Will record it and skip through the first 45-60 5 minutes at a skip looking for goals. Then I might slow down for the last 30 if it isn't a blowout. Started this in the middle of last season. They just haven't been interesting.
Don't worry, we'll probably be right there with you. Or we'll alternate between moments of excitement and heartwrenching stupidity, which is worse, I'd argue.
Stan Kroenke and Bob Kraft were twins separated at birth. The Rapids are basically our Western Conf spirit club.

I'm interested in seeing how this goes... If we play well and competitive, yay, but if we keep to the tradition of dismal starts to the season (which I'm expecting), then he ought to see a lot of action. Lookin' on the brightside, right?
0-0 at the half. One chance for each side. Cropper handled his save well. With a new center back pair, they will get better with every minute Colo doesn't score.
