Been a couple years since I've started one of these. Have at it. Boy do I hope either or both Aigner and Gashi are at least available if not ready to start. If not it's gonna be tough for the Rapids to find goals in this one. Doesn't mean they can't win, but it will make it harder. I expect Deklan Wynne will start in the place of Ford.
1-0 win, goal by Badji. The first goal we get this season will be the 900th in team history and I think Badji gets it tomorrow. This won't be pretty soccer but I like our defense and the Revs lack of the same. We get a win on the road to get our season off on the right foot. http://view-from-the-couch.blogspot.com/2018/03/british-led-rapids-attempt-to-quell.html
I'll say 0-0. New England looked like the worst of last year's edition while playing the Union last week. I haven't seen this version of the Rapids score yet. So... zero. Just like the chances of me getting anything done after drinking Jameson before noon. My prediction notwithstanding, I haven't been this excited for an opener in years. Go Rapids!

Thinking about this game, I am a little conflicted. On the one hand, it is our first game and Gashi/Ford/Sjoberg are out. On the other hand, we did get to play a couple of "meaningful" pre-season games against Toronto. So, I predict a 1-1 tie. I think NE gets something through as all the new players get used to each other. We get a goal somewhere along the way, probably a long shot or garbage goal off a rebound. If the shots are on target, I could see a 2-1 win, but we rarely have shots going on target. Rod.
Because MLSSoccer.com's projected lineups are universally crap and have no real research behind them.
I hope Aigner's getting fit and healthy. He's going to be very important. Alas, he is not in the 18! Seven @MLS debuts in the side today. Let's start the season off with #ThreePoints!#Rapids96 | #NEvCOL pic.twitter.com/DqT0CKU7JT— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) March 10, 2018
The way the New England fans are dressed, you would think they have never seen 38 degree temps or snow on the ground.
Looks windy, too. They now have Nemeth, and still have Nguyen? I never know what's going on with the other team.
Shot on goal! Also just noticed, the Dick's ad and altitude logo are on the screen, but no score bug.
