I believe there's a match tonight. Not a good feeling about this one. We're likely to have heavy legs. PHI will want to get back at us for knocking them out of the US Open Cup. CD9 will be coming in for his first match and is primed to show us why he should be playing regularly. And, if it weren't for all that, Philly seems to be playing better. We have them just where we want them for a trap game. Revs 2-1.
This feels like a referendum game. Philly''s been good and bad this year, but they did what we did not: strengthen the team during the transfer window.
REFEREE: Robert Sibiga. The 2 former BC Eagles will hook up - Bedoya assists Charlie at least once tonight just to drive this point home. It's going to be ugly methinks, but Philly are a better team. Although stranger things have happened. If the revs can earn a draw tonight it will feel like a win.
I also dont have a good feeling about this one... or any others for that matter lol. Heaps is to the Revs as Jill Ellis is to the USWNT. Amazing down 1-0 1:22 into the game. Good thing its an important game
Huh. Revs gave up a goal off a cross. Didn't see that coming. They usually do so well defending them. /sarcasm
Embarassing. It is beyond me how the Revs thought this team's defense was good enough to not need shoring up during the offseason or during the transfer window. I understand the frustration with Heaps, but these guys just aren't good enough.
Bunbury is playing up too alongside Kei. We'll see how that "positive move" (as PM called it) turns out.
That's why I am excited in a perverse way Philly keeps scoring, rev guys are yelling at each other, not tracking back, not making runs, all the signs this team is lost. It gives us more hope for changes, even if they win the USOC.
Good to see Herivaux in for Caldwell. He should at least get some minutes in a blowout. Lee off, Agudelo (remember him?) on.
4 0 nice finish by Philly, assisted by Davies right at the final whistle. Well deserved victory for the visitors. So happy I don't bother paying to see this shitshow anymore. Save your $$. Hopefully positive changes come sooner rather than never.
Not too much to say about this ass kicking, it kind of is what it is. For the revs, Rowe was ok at times as was Tierney. The rest basically sucked. Feldman and Mariner were already rolling out the lame excuses for the poor performance in the first half. They focused on a midweek USOC game yielding tired legs. And we want to win that tournament to get into the CCL and ...play more games? Midweek international travel followed by a league schedule on the weekends. With this roster that can't rebound from a home USOC game against the worst Team in MLS? Now that's pretty funny.
I admire tactical consistency. If it produces. How long has it been since this formula of players/formation/tactics has looked good? Week 4? EDIT -- yea yea I know Kamara was a mid-season addition...
