Demidov has been described as slow with Atlanta running right around him. If they bunker, our best chance will be to run past him on the counter. Also, he didn't play last week against CO so he is not fully in sync with his projected partner, Kallman, who is a NASL lifer.
If this Revs team is anywhere near as good as mid-table borderline playoffs, anything less than a 3-0 win will be unacceptable.
Sure you can. One thing does not prevent another. Sure, if we signed gajillion-dollar superstars we'd have a better team, but the talent level of the existing team is at least adequate. Maybe not top of the league, but certainly better than the results have been. If the whole is less than the sum of the parts, it's usually on the coach.
I think there's enough blame to give Heaps, Burns, Bilello, and the Krafts all sizeable portions. No need for anyone to go without!
Not sure what this match will tell us given it's an expansion team missing six of it's purported starters. My impression is that heaps asks the players to stick pretty narrowly to their roles, something I interpret as an indication of his own lack of tactical nuance. Since last year when he finally got off the 4-5-1 train, I have wanted to see the roles given to Juan and Lee have more interchange and fluidity. Hopefully this even-less-tactically-sophisticated opponent will provide the opportunity for such an evolution to begin to take root. We'll see....
Kouassi to the bench Caldwell takes his place and Rowe moves to the field. Kouassi sits probably because of the crappy field
This field is what it is. It isn't going to get much better. Are you suggesting Kouassi just won't play (start) at home?
not at all. suggesting that while he is still not 100 percent they may want to be cautious until he feels he is fully healed
he is talking about the Revs vaunted attack but had just mentioned the Loons are down 5 starters to callups.
