Re: It's Galaxy vs. Victory! Two things...I noticed the start time for all these games are 12:00 AM PST, is that noon or midnight? And is there any chance that any of these games will be broadcast on TV? Maybe FSC will...I remember they did last year for one of those Australian teams we played.
Re: It's Galaxy vs. Victory! BTW did you file your emancipation papers for your parents not letting you go to the game?
Re: It's Galaxy vs. Victory! hahahaha. i can't believe it didn't even rain during the game last night (or at least it looked like it didn't). still sorta mad that I couldn't go, but not too mad right now since the Galaxy won! plus, i was delighted to hear that MLS Cups aren't going to be played at neutral sites anymore, so there's hope!
Re: It's Galaxy vs. Victory! The heavens opened up and God said "let my Galaxy go...all the way!" . But seriously the drive over was harsh and wet, but come kickoff everything was fine aside from a bit of cold weather. That aside, this article got me thinking: http://www.lagalaxy.com/news/2011/11/gregg-berhalter-goes-out-champion Based off that article, I say Gregg deserves to suit up for the Galaxy one last time - we should use one of the postseason friendlies as a proper testimonial for him. Klpv82: It means midnight on November 29 (so the beginning of Nov. 30). Having spent half of 2011 in Asia, I can safely say the time difference is severe enough so that a game being broadcast at midnight here is probably taking place at 2:00 to 4:00 PM in Indonesia.
I suppose there is still time for them to decide, but think about this: since they are about to lose LAG TV rights to Time-Warner, Fox really doesn't have any interest in promoting the LAG name or brand at this point. Why build up the property for TWC to cash in on?
Actually the TWC is only for local galaxy games. FSC is a national channel, so they actually lost their interest to NBC. Just a slight correction.
A little bit off topic here, but you are not seeing things...American Samoa have won a FIFA World Cup Qualifying match.
1st game they've ever won, and former DC United/US Youth team coach Thomas Rongen was in charge... That being said, not sure what it has to do with this thread, other then American Samoa is in the Asian/Pacific region I guess?

What is the roster for these games? I imagine it'll just be around the same team we saw play in our last match of the regular season.
Galaxy's roster will likely be the same, per my guess. As for the opposition... This is for the Philippines: No. Pos. The Indonesian under-23 soccer team will meet English soccer player David Beckham and his club, LA Galaxy, in a friendly match at the Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta on Nov. 30. Some senior Indonesian players will also join their junior counterparts. “[U-23 team coach] Rahmad Darmawan will be handling the team,” national team official Bernhard Limbong said recently as quoted by tempo.com. Mahaka Sports director Hasani Abdulgani, the match promoter, said that Beckham and his team would host a soccer coaching clinic for children, as well as a meet and greet event. http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2011/11/23/young-garuda-meet-beckham-soccer-match.html
i'm surprised the galaxy aren't taking on brisbane instead of melbourne. trying to beat a team that hasn't lost in a year would probably elevate the game from mere exhibition.
I think you just answered your own question. LAG doesn't want a meaningful game - they just had a bunch of those. What it wants is a walk in the park and a big paycheck.
