---Zardes---Gio--- Ema-----JJ----Romain ----Husidic/Garcia---- Cole-JVD-Steres-Smith ------Diop/Rowe----- I think Pedro should sit. Hopefully Curt will try it. It may be more likely that happens than Rowe starting over Diop though.

My expectation is that Rowe will start. I understand that Diop was hobbling pretty badly after the flight home.
Here's Curt's quote on Diop. Sounds like he is still in pretty bad shape. http://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2017/04/19/curt-onalfo-provides-update-goalkeeper-clement-diop-insider
Maybe Curt's thinking is that if he's going to go down, that he's going to go on his terms and his guys.
I am not sure its loyalty, quite the reverse and possibly stupid as well. (think Frank Yellop and David Beckham stupid in 2007). Letting a player who is clearly injured continue is gambling with the player's season or career. Think about it, this wasn't a game for the MLS cup or do or die for the playoffs. Its still the first quarter of the season. If Diop is clearly the better keeper, Curt should have pulled him immediately and put in Rowe. He could have easily told him, "I appreciate you want to continue playing, I like that your a warrior. However, I don't want to risk you being injured further, the team will need you." Instead, Curt 's actions basically, said, "Its not worth losing a possible substitute in this one game to protect you and your career".
So far I haven't been able to confirm that these aren't just warm ups. http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2017/04/19/mls-adidas-join-forces-parley-ocean-eco-friendly-kits
I don’t disagree with the general sentiment, but the Beckham thing was very different. The pressure to play the guy from Garber to ESPN to Leiweke was immense. Beckham was a make or break the league play; I’m not sure even Bruce could have withstood edicts from on high.
When they explicitly state "will be seen on-pitch", it leads me to believe they will only be warm-ups. I think they said something similar when we had those camouflage jerseys for 4th of July or Memorial Day or whatever it was. http://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2017/0...cer-collaborate-parley-oceans-debut-first-mls
You are right about the pressure and I also think David wanted to be on the field. He had a lot riding on that, especially Jersey Sales revenues. However, I also remember at least one instance where an opponent targeted his ankle. IIRC, he was pretty immobile by the end of the season, and with Klein sprinting up the right wing around him, it left that side of the field open. He and the team might have been better off had he been rested for a day or two. Cobi Jones was still on the team at that point and could have filled in.
That would be pretty lame if they don't wear them for the game. Doesn't say much for MLS' support of the cause if they only give it exposure to the 1/2 stadium audience (who show up early enough for warm-ups) and cut out the TV audience.
Clement Diop (hip) not in #LAGalaxy training. Rowe will almost surely start vs #Sounders— Kevin Baxter 🇺🇦🏳️🌈 (@kbaxter11) April 21, 2017 #LAGalaxy's Diop hobbled away from rehab session this afternoon w/left knee wrapped. He can barely move. Could be out a while— Kevin Baxter 🇺🇦🏳️🌈 (@kbaxter11) April 21, 2017 Edit: Added 2nd tweet
