Darn, another home game I can't make. I hope we win. And I hope we have our entire team healthy and ready to play. Go Galaxy!!
GBS says that the team gave Z one extra week to get to 100 percent. He'll train on Tuesday. Romain trained with the group and will be back in full training on Friday.— Adam Serrano (@AdamSerrano) March 21, 2019 Sure would be great to have the entire team available for this game....
Portland is off to a rough start and will be desperate for their first win. But there is some contest - they have a pretty rough schedule to start the season: @COL (3-3), @LAFC (1-4) , @CIN (0-3) and soon @LAG (0-?). But whatever their schedule, giving up 10 goals in only 3 games indicates their defense needs a lot of work. PS - I checked our 2018 schedule just as a comparison. Turns out we had much worse defensive streak starting in mid-August, allowing 12 goals in 3 games. And that bad streak got even worse - the next game, Kinnear's first, we gave up 5 more goals! So 17 goals allowed over 4 games, 4.33 ga/gm. Maybe this traumatic journey down memory lane will make me a bit more forgiving of this years defense? Probably not... After that bloodletting Kinnear was able to right the ship and we only gave up 4 goals over our last five games, while scoring 12. So in the end Kinnear got us within one Feltscher mistake of making the playoffs! Good guy, probably deserved a bigger reward.
I like Portland as a club and city. Unlike Seattle, but timbers supporters you can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs.
TRAINING REPORT: Larry Morgan is reporting that Zlatan Ibrahimovic IS training today. And he’s on the field with the main squad. #LAGalaxy #MLS— Corner Of The Galaxy (@GalaxyPodcast) March 26, 2019
Now let's hear about Alessandrini! Would love to have the entire first team available for selection....
Here you go. From today's training: Back in training 👉 RA7️⃣ pic.twitter.com/VQxzO3GIz4— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) March 26, 2019
I don't see how Zlatan plays if he's just returned to training this week. OTOH, that's exactly what he did last year.
Oh man. We potentially will have our best XI out there against a team that is really struggling with conceding goals
We have two, seemingly, very winnable games up ahead. Portland being the stronger of the two given their history. They just cant find their groove this year and I hope it remains that way at least through Sunday. No trap anything. Vancouver is just in a bad way. More like the canadian version of San Jose to be brutally honest. Glad to see both Jona and Lletget returning healthy. Great job by Jona against Paraguay. MOM honors with his first ever goal wearing his national colors and and an assist. If having Gio here brought Jona then it can be said the dark cloud has a silver lining. A full team against wobbly competition that allows for Ibra and Romain to be coddled and protected with less than a full match. We want them very healthy for when we start meeting up with the carnivores of the league.
Looks like we'll have a healthy roster for this one: GBS said Juninho is 100 percent. If Zlatan and Alessandrini are available Sunday it will be the first time this season the @LAGalaxy will have its full roster healthy— Kevin Baxter 🇺🇦🏳️🌈 (@kbaxter11) March 29, 2019 Except for Kitchen, but even GBS is apparently trying to forget him Oops. Forgot about Perry Kitchen. He’s still hurt. Apparently GBS forgot about him too cause he thinks the team is 💯 percent. Edson Buddle was at training. Looks fit. “A lot of yoga” he said @LAGalaxy— Kevin Baxter 🇺🇦🏳️🌈 (@kbaxter11) March 29, 2019
BUDDLE! Loved that guy. Can't believe he made it to a world cup, and arguably should have started it too. He was the OG Gyasi.
GBS is correct that we are at 100%. If Kitchen were healthy then we would be at 90%. His presence on the bench would slow our team down.
