And now an away win against a playoff team. Recent results have not been that impressive but we are on a good streak.

Pavon after a bad game against Montreal had a MOTM performance.

I know he's at fault on the RSL goal but I wonder why it took so long to GBS to realize we are better with Romney starting. Still, a new LB is needed this offseason. Life could be so much simpler with four Polenta in the back.

I'm likely sounding like a Euro snob, but the Gs finally have that winger in Pavon that plays like a winger in the top Euro leagues. Fast, quick, skilled, high motor, takes on defenders 1 on 1.

Nothing to sneeze at here ladies and gentlemen.

We all agreed before the season started that getting into the playoffs would be a HUGE accomplishment for this team and staff.

I don’t feel any differently. Enormous! Proud of the boys!

Jeesus!!! that last 10 minutes almost stroked me out. So another one bites the dust, we are playoff bound and it looks like we are on a bit of a roll. All we need now is the butter. Antuna however, no soup for you man, that was gut wrenching awful! If we would have tied or lost it was all on his infantile misses. Ibrah can miss sitters son, you cannot!!! FFS.

Glad to see Ibrah made yet another goal. He is now only two goals behind Vela's 30 as of right now.

Shouldn’t be. Pavon did the hard work on both goals. Pavon clear MOTM!

    Good win boys and girls!

How about some love for GBS for actually using his subs today in a timely manner which helped the team down the stretch close the passing lanes and seal the victory!

My MOTM goes to the entire back line for actually staying organized and compact for most of the game.

Should Romney be the MVP of the last few games? I believe he's singlehandedly stabilized the backline and team since replacing Skjelvik.

Well, I dont know he did all that with the subs. Who missed that ball bounce for their one goal? I think it was Gonzalez. Nevertheless he gets credit of course in a more general way. This is our third win and the team may be jellin at the right time. He may have finally gotten a grip on what works.

Having said that, I am totally with you on the MOTM. The backline did not turn to crap halfway through this match. The held together.... they friggin held!

    Playoffs, baby!!!

Pavon bounces back from a poor (by his standards) game with a MOTM performance.

And Romney has 3 starts and the Galaxy have a +7 goal differential in those 3 games...

Go back to the 23rd-24th minute and watch Romney bust his butt hustling back after a Galaxy turnover to get goalside of the back post RSL offensive player. Something we’ve never seen Sjkfjdjdj do.

And as skilled as Pavon is, that is back-to-back games where he has created goals from pure hustle plays. Me likey....

We can still get to 2nd or 3rd with two very winnable games left....

Congrats Mofo`s were headed back to the playoffs lmao. I love the fact Pavon doesnt let up. The Lion should of scored more but he scored and we won !! We had alot of missed opportunities but we got the win. Its bad news for the league that were gaining momentum especially for Chivas 2.0 :)

We missed three sitters and still deservedly won in a tough place on the road. Well done boys. Second place in sight.

Someone smarter then me explain why we were so much more dominant in the second half. I don’t see exactly what if anything we changed but from the second half whistle we were in control.

I think RSL just couldn't keep that high energy/high press going the whole game. That game plan will work against a lot of teams, but with Polenta on the backline and a midfield triangle of Dos Santos/Corona/Lletget we have enough ability to pass out of that press to keep them from turning it into a huge advantage. It also helped us conserve some energy while they expended a lot of energy in the first half.

In the second half, they tired and had to drop that high press a bit, and as soon as they did, we had a little more space to operate.

Excellent win. 3 wins in a row, including 1 away to a good opponent. I'm starting to believe, kids. We are the hottest team in the league right now (along with DC, who also has 3 wins in their last 3) and I see no reason we can't win again this weekend.

I am really excited to have Pavon for another season at least.

Can you imagine what 2016 Alessandrini and Pavon on the wings would do? Zlatan 50 goal season if that were the case.

No doubt in my mind. We lose this game if Skittles had played. As far as I am concerned and barring an injury, this is our backline until the season ends.

You know honestly, if and when, we meet and send them packing in the playoffs, I wouldn't even need to see us win the MLS Cup.

And let's not forget Pavon clearly ate a bowl of Wheaties at halftime.
