Wow, it’s been over two years since I’ve seen the real Galaxy, the one I grew to love. Love everything about it!
Hi everyone, well that was a breath of fresh air. I liked the hustle and effort. The passing is still horrendous and quality is lacking, but that is a work in progress I think. Good to be up 2 goals to nil. Keep it up and we will be waiting on the Dwadler's world famous post. THIS IS LA!!!!
I missed the first half of the first half, but what little I saw I liked our possession. Ema had a great interception with his speed that I didn't see in previous games. we had great Tika-Taco, hope we can keep up that style of possession no matter our opponent. The PK seemed weak but I'll take it, and great JDS composure. Loved his emotion with the fans. and the 2nd goal was a beautiful team goal.
Just checked - we’ve completed 88% of our passes so far. That’s strong when you have that many passes in the crowded final third.
Quick observation on what I've noticed in the league so far. It's a trend that I like and although it's early in the season alot of clubs are implementing this............PACE! I've been yearning for football with pace, although the EPL is where world class pace lives. I enjoy our clubs trending to that style. I believe with the influx of younger talented players coming from abroad and homegrown guys putting in work. I think the quality will be 7-8 years away. Of course if that cursed miser cap gets lifted to a more reasonable level it would be a massive help. Anyone else? Thoughts?
I agree but I also think that's a function of the climate. try keeping up that pace in hot and muggy Florida or Texas after a while.
I agree which is why I support an aligned schedule with Europe or a apertura and clausura set up like Argentina and Liga mx. What do think?
I just think its tough no matter how it is due to the travel and differing climates in general here in the States. We're huge and have such a variety of climates and altitudes its tough to get one average climate. I'm not entirely against aligning the league play to better position ourselves against international competitions, however the domestic sports market has to be considered.
you know I just realized Boateng would be a good wingback. he's fast, is great at interceptions. he'd be perfect as the next Robbie Rogers winger converted wingback.
The games 34 should be broken down into conference match ups home and away, then regional east vs west with small market derby's ie: Orlando v Miami, Cinnci v Columbus, Chivas 2.0 v Smurfs and then big market derby's us against the rest home and away.
Hey jona it would be nice if you can close down on the player instead of letting him take a shot on goal!
