Pavon and Zlatan get to rest and train with each other this week, which they haven’t been able to do previously. Will be interesting to see how they work together this Sunday.
I like where our team is headed. I think we have a chance on Sunday. I'd go with: ----------------------Ibra--------------------- --Pavon-------------------------------------- --------------------F Alverez--------------Araujo ----------------Lleget----------------------- ----------------------JDS--------------------- Polenta---Romney----Gonzalez------Rolf --------------------Bingham---------------- Antuna and Corona off the bench
I think we’ll be asking Polenta in the center, since Vela has been playing CF for the last few games.
I won't be surprised at all if we see: ------------------Zlatan Pavon---------Alvarez----------Antuna ----------Lletget------Dos Santos Skjkdk--Polenta--Gonzalez--Feltscher ----------------Bingham I personally would rather see Romney and Araujo as our fullbacks, but outside of that, this is a very strong lineup.
Strange, it doesn't seem like there's a lot of hype for this one, does it feel that way to anyone else? In a way it makes sense: there's no real pressure on us. Worst case scenario, we split the series. LAFC have been dominant and are expected to win at home, but they still aren't confident they can beat us when they need to. I think we have a very good chance in this game. If you're Bob Bradley, I wonder if he's considering telling his team not to score first.
The building I work at has been giving away LAFC swag all week. They offered me a scarf and I threw down on the floor and said Zlatan says "You're welcome."
I expect the traffic on the site here to go way down, since most of you guys are heading off to Burning Man and there's no WiFi there.
Oh gosh, there's an LAFC street team that has set up a merch table outside my building...what to do...
LAFC has been promoting itself big time ever since they`ve gotten into the league. Ive met a few fair weathered Ex Galaxy fans who have jumped ship (good riddance). I don`t understand it choosing LAFC over the Galaxy is like choosing The Clippers over the Lakers. When L.A.FormelyChivas fans refer to this match up as a rivalry I just laugh lol 5 MLS cups to 0 ...Uh yeah Rivalry lmao Any how I think we have a great shot to win if the refs call a even game. I swear imagine if Vela got the same calls as Zlatan he would be nowhere near the top of the Goals list. I dont know why Refs give him so many calls when the guys a FLOPPER ! lol But as always need other players to get hot and make some goals or play solid defense. But I like our chances.....
Vela's goal trending on MLS Soccer with the headline "Best Goal in MLS History?". Good, just give Zlatan more fodder.
This game will be won in the midfield. If the Galaxy turn over the ball carelessly in the middle third, they won't get a result.
Skjelvik sounds like he thinks he's going to be playing in this game "We need to be aggressive. We have to be up their asses from the beginning." - Jorgen Skjelvik on the #LAGalaxy's match with LAFC on Sunday.— Adam Serrano (@AdamSerrano) August 22, 2019
It was a fun goal to watch but the defending from the smurfs is  We have 8 games left. This is the perfect game to take 3 points and ride momentum into the playoffs.
