I can relate to this. This game against SJ, especially VanAnholt getting injured, has resigned me to the fact that beyond our many and varied shortcomings, there really seems to be something beyond that is against us. And I'm not superstitious at all. How can one team have suffered so many injuries and issues in one season? You can, despite what the players say, really see it on the field too. It looks like we've given up. No morale left, no explanations... the hits just keep coming. I'm bummed there are still nine games left to suffer through. And being the good Galaxy fan I am, I'm unable to just look away. I'll watch the rest of this miserable season in a state of numbness and pray for a merciful end
So I noticed that some of the light-up advertising boards that were in the places where the digital boards are now, have been installed above the upper deck. Our stadium looks like an erector set now with these ugly fences, grandstands and awkwardly placed stairs everywhere. Is all this extra revenue gonna make it likely we improve this squad on the pitch? I doubt it since we've locked up our 3 DPs and have to stick to the salary cap with only TAM/GAM to use, right? I think they can use -AM to buy down any player, hopefully a striker, as long as he makes less than $1mil so, that would be first concern to me. Who knows what this FO is thinking? I was really pissed when I heard fans were jumping ship to the douche bags up the 110 but, now, I can't really blame them. I'll remain, and likely other die-hards will too but, this is depressing AF. I swear its like nothing good has happened since The Curse of San Penedo.
At this point I just want to see a goal for crying out loud. To be clear...scored by the Galaxy. And not an own goal.
