Yes, he worked the ball up the right side at least once and pressured a lot. To me he looked lively and energetic. Just not enough time to make much of an impact.

Agreed. I think he should have been playing more the last few years. Don't know what Bruce and Curt see in practice but he's productive on game days.
Kansas City was just better. One thing I really didn't like was how hack-o-rrific our team was. Jaime Villarreal should have been red carded in the first half for that tackle from behind. Smith took out Feilhaber and upended another guy with clumsy play, could easily have been a red or two yellows. Jelle is halfway out of control at all times.
Uggh. That first half was horrific. Why do we sit back at home and absorb all that pressure, only to concede goals and then realise we have to attack late in the 2nd half? Why is Nathan Smith on the field ? go 3 at the back or put Garcia back there (who is just a little better then smith). Even better, start Arellano in the middle and put Romney on the side. We did not control the midfield at all in the first 70 minutes. When Joao came in, the game changed (or maybe it was when Feilheiber got wrecked and came out). Allesandrini is not a center forward, I love him, but he is better just a little further back, going at defenders - that's on Curt. How can we not win at home? It's so frustrating to go to every game to watch that. Diop should never play a game again for this team.
I don't think it was our intention to sit back in the first half. Curt is aggressive. And, KC is good. Jaime & Rafa aren't going to dictate the game against them, or any of the good teams in this league.
Not since Leonardo at Tijuana have I seen a performance that bad by one player. Absolutely horrid by Diop giving SKC the game.
LAII seemed to get a red card every other match last season. It might just be an aspect of Curt's style.
