Is it me or does it seem like the guys have lost confidence in Gyasi because of his poor decision making and wasteful chances on goal? It seems on the run of play more often than not the man on the ball will look for another option instead of the obvious open slot were Zardes runs into.
I'll take it. Entertaining game. R Money over Steres for me, things just seemed more relaxed with him back there instead of Dan.
Gyasi has got to find his game someplace. Frankly, if he's going to play like this why not play one of the JackMac's instead?
Intellectually, maybe yes. But against an absolutely crap team that is shipping goals and can't score....not so much.
True but, I'd rather tie DC and hang 4 on sj than the opposite ...especially since I didn't think we'd get more than 4 points out of this road trip.
Interesting, I think he did play right back back in the academy days. Don't know, but maybe he was moved there from forward and then Bakersfield gave him a chance to be a forward again.
We have some good quality out there, but it didn't come together today. Most of the players have excellent touch and some have good moves and intelligence. Honestly, although Gyasi had one or two good moments, this is the first game I was kind of despairing about him. I thought his form would come back before this. Whether it's him, or the formation, or whatever, he is getting in the way and I really hope he turns it around this summer. At this rate, in this form, we won't lose him for the Gold Cup, and we can use every body possible. It was a good road trip, but now it's over. I have a feeling reality might set in soon with all this injuries, and soon the international absence of Gio, at least. Anyone else we will lose? And, for the record, DC sucks.
Disappointing game. But as mentioned already, I wasn't expecting more than 4 points on this road trip, so 10 points is a nice surprise.
The reality is we'd never won 4 games in a row on the road, ever, so even at the best of times we couldn't really expect that. But yes the game last night was terrible all around.
