Will be interesting to see what sort of rotation we do. Seems easier to accomplish with the D then with any other area of the field given our current personnel.
Based on the game Traore just had and the cramping he had late in the game, I’m assuming Skjelvik gets the start at RB. Also I’d imagine Araujo (who supposedly traveled with the team) gets the start as well. I’d like to see Giancarlo start as well alongside Polenta.
That's kind of what I was thinking (although I'm sure you mean skjefahsighik at left back. Could be a solid back 4 which is interesting to say as it proposes 3 changes from last match. Maybe we have some depth in defense now? It's been a long while since being able to say that.
The key is in midfield. Anyone seen how Porter's Columbus play? Do they still like to hold the ball like Berhalter? If so, could be an interest match-up, there. Also, this is great: Ref bumps into Lucho Acosta, causing DC to lose possession in midfield and spring a Crew counter that leads to a goal. Ref calls the play back and blames it on a Will Trapp foul. Then he awards a phantom FK leading to a goal and a PK. Caleb Porter left frustrated by first-half call in Columbus Crew SC loss That's a bummer, but we've had enough crap luck the last few seasons that I don't feel too bad
Hey @LAGalaxy - my kiddo had a rough day, but seeing the team in (of all places!) our mall in Ohio and the kindness your players showed by taking a pic turned that day around. We’ve watched YouTube clips of @Dsteres44 and @Emaboateng all night. ⚽️ Thanks and welcome to Cbus! pic.twitter.com/bXxCzUS8O1— Amy Heckman 🇺🇦 (@amyheckman) May 7, 2019
Lot of storylines in this game; GBS' return to the Columbus, Porter vs. the guy who took the job he was offered, Zardes vs. the Galaxy...could end up being like a rivalry game. Jona and Zlatan need to have big games.
Guillermo has to put the Columbus love-up on hold until after the game. In fact, they should all be made to watch that Liverpool v Barca match Clockwork Orange style. Galaxy is the favorite to win this match but if this second half crap show continues or they phone one in like Barca did then they will invite defeat and embarrasment once again. Crew has like half a dozen straight losses or what are they up to now. Go in, kill it, then go celebrate Guillermos return to Cbus. Anybody hear anything about the signing? Or was all that scraping the bottom of the tam/ham barrels all for naught? Did we not scrounge enough funny money?
What with writing award acceptance speeches and so forth didn't know if you would have time for the traditional "I hope we win" post.
Sjkelvik replaces Traore (who is replaced in the 18 by Romney), but otherwise the lineup is the same. Surprised Gonzalez is still on the bench. The #LAGalaxy XI in Columbus 👊#CLBvLA | @ModeloUSA pic.twitter.com/u7QO5UPuEX— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) May 8, 2019

Has Jimenez been playing right fullback for awhile and I missed it? I always thought he was a midfielder.
